After Midnight (CBS) - Host: Taylor Tomlinson
The host replacing Corden will be Taylor Tomlinson on After Midnight (a renamed version of "@ Midnight". It's still not clear to me if this will be an hour show or just half an hour. The Comedy Central version was a half hour, I believe.

I hope it works out for Taylor. I just missed seeing her when she was in town so hope she'll come back soon.

Just saw this. If you have ever seen her do crowd work, she is so damn quick. I think she will do quite well once she gets used to interviewing people.

@Midnight was a really fun show. My wife and I actually went to a taping once. It's been a while so I can't remember who the contestants were that day other than Rhys Darby.

CBS today announced its new late-night series, AFTER MIDNIGHT, hosted by Taylor Tomlinson, will premiere on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 12:37 AM, ET/PT on CBS and streaming on Paramount+*, following a new episode of THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT.
AFTER MIDNIGHT, inspired by Comedy Central’s Emmy Award-winning series “@midnight,” is the smartest show on television about the dumbest things on the internet. With celebrated comedian Taylor Tomlinson at the helm and a panel of guests from the worlds of entertainment, comedy, music and beyond, AFTER MIDNIGHT is a late-night comedy series about what set the internet abuzz that day with a game show feel. Upcoming guests will be announced at a later date.
AFTER MIDNIGHT, from CBS Studios, Spartina Industries and Funny Or Die, is executive produced by Stephen Colbert, Carrie Byalick, Tom Purcell and Evelyn McGee Colbert of Spartina Industries; James Dixon of Dixon Talent; Joe Farrell, Mike Farah, Whitney Hodack and Henry R. Muñoz III of Funny Or Die; and Jason U. Nadler of Serious Business. Jack Martin and Eric Pierce are co-showrunners and executive producers. Nadler co-created the Funny Or Die-produced “@midnight,” while Martin was the series’ showrunner through all four seasons. Jo Firestone is co-executive producer and head writer while Alexx Wells will also serve as co-executive producer. Sharon Everitt will direct.
*Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers will have access to stream live via the feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service, as well as on demand. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to stream live but will have access to on-demand the day after the show airs.

First one aired last nite.
It’s okay.
I can’t remember anything about the previous incarnation but I feel like I’ve seen a dozen other shows that already have done this.

It is mostly the same as before, not many changes. But being on CBS means more bleeping than on Comedy Central.

It is ok but it has gotten terrible reviews and is bombing in the ratings.
It should be on AXS TV or Fuse.
Jo Firestone who wrote for the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is the head writer so if you hate Fallon you can hate her too if you don't like this show.
I don't like Corden but his show seemed more equipped for late night and he got A list stars to appear.

It was on Comedy Central in its previous life.
Ratings wise it pulls about 585,000 viewers in Live+SD, slightly lower than Late Late Show with Corden, but it pulls a 50% bigger audience in 18 - 49 (beating both Nightline and Late Night) and is cheaper.

Re: After Midnight (CBS) - Host: Taylor Tomlinson
Huh, I never made the connection that After Midnight was a revival of At Midnight.
I remember seeing a clip or two of that show but never watched it. There are people who seem like huge Chris Hardwick fans and I don't really know how him, so that aspect never grabbed my interest. I didn't always know the comedians so that didn't grab me. And the show seemed a little cheap, so that didn't grab me, either.
This time around, my appuse and I both really like Taylor Tomlinson. We like the comedians (Paul F. Tompkins, Pete Holmes, Maria Bamford, etc.). And though the show still feels a little cheap, this time that's charming.
We watch often, though maybe in the background during work the next day or a few in a row if we didn't catch up, it's an easy binge show, and that gives us something light and fun to talk about. We are pro-After Midnight.

Yeah, I think it was Max Greenfield that did a bit about being confused that the logo was still @M despite the show being "After" Midnight. And by bit I mean every comment tied back to it
