Now will have to sell the DVD and the shirt (already own the DVD and have no desire for the shirt).

How much for the DVD?

One down, 4 more to go. Vince promised me a john cena inflatable hand if I get 5 people to buy his plaque.

Just got done watching the Vengeance dvd and surprisingly, they left the "We Want Benoit" chants in.

Kinda off the topic, but anyone know anything new about the WWE blockbuster exclusives? Are they going to be that rare, or no?

From the looks of it they are pretty rare, especially Royal Rumble 2007 and No Way Out 2007.

I read that Blockbusters carry 1 sealed DVD per store. I have seen all the exclusives go for as much as $70 on that auction site that they hate us to mention. I bought all mine from there (including Vengeance) since Canadian blockbusters don't carry them but i got lucky and didn't pay $70 each, the most i paid for one of them was $35 including shipping and that was No Way Out, the rest were around $25-$30 (all brand new including shipping).

They're rare in my area. 2 nearby stores, and neither of them get any copies for sale and just one to rent out.

I don't think they could classified as rare. I was in Blockbuster last week and they had Backlash and Judgment Day, I went to get my Vengeance today and they had No Way Out, Royal Rumble and One Night Stands stocked also. I asked the guy and he said they got more copies in.

At first it seemed like when the first wave was gone, that was it and they would've qualified as rare. But that's proving to be untrue. I doubt they will keep refilling forever, especially all shows, but it's the 2nd time now that I know of that my store has restocked Royal Rumble, probably more than that that I haven't noticed.

Either way, I'm still buying all mine first day just in case. But there was someone on here who referring to them as scarce, which implies the next step beyond rare, and that's hardly the case. Maybe it was just hopeful that he had valuable dvds. It's not like a person has to drive far to find a Blockbuster. So maybe down the road they'll be rare, but I don't think anyone could currently say they are. Has anyone here that's tried to find one not actually gotten one (not including people in Canada who aren't getting these)?

I'll drop by my BB tomorrow. That should cover the disc and mail. I have two within 1/2 mile of my house, I'll check the other one tomorrow beside the one I got mine at.

Thanks, but they aren't that important to me (at Blockbuster's high prices). When I heard about the exclusive disc, I went and checked the local store just to see what they were like.

Really. I find $19.99 for a set with a bonus disc reasonable

Here is a related information with regards to Blockbuster WWE Exclusive.

And as of now, since the Chris Benoit Incident looks like Blockbuster lessen the number of their stores selling a "sealed" WWE Blockbuster Exclusive.

Im not so sure with the rest, but do anyone of you find a hard time getting Veangence Exclusive?

Most Blockbuster Franchisee dont even have a "Sealed" with "Security Sticker Copies" for sale as all are for rent.

around 10copies for rent in Corporates and around 5copies for rent in franchisees.

That is why for serious "collectors" .. the following are valuable & RARE if "SEALED" and "with Security Stickers"

- Royal Rumble 2007 (UPC:651191946105 Spine/Security Sticker #WWE94610)
- No Way Out 2007 (UPC:651191946112 Spine/Security Sticker #WWE94611)
- Wrestlemania 23 (UPC:651191946136 - Spine/Security Sticker #WWE9613)
- Backlash 2007 (UPC: 651191946143 - Spine/Security Sticker #WWE9614)

And this made it so interesting about the WWE Blockbuster "sealed copies" since the Weinstein regular movie DVD deals were all "rental"/"Opened" and "Not for resale".

Lucky for those who obtained the 1st two releases. Its so limited having it sealed and with that 1st release of exclusive emblem from Blockbuster (the "circle" one - found in No Way Out and Royal Rumble) thats an excellent catch!

Genius Products and World Wrestling Entertainment Form New Tag Team
McMahons and Bob and Harvey Weinstein Form a Powerful Entertainment Partnership

October 17, 2006
SANTA MONICA, CA -- Genius Products, LLC. has entered into a multi-year agreement with World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE), to be the exclusive home entertainment distributor of all WWE DVD titles, effective November 1, 2006, a partnership that lays the foundation for a "Smackdown" on the entertainment industry.

The announcement was made today by Bob and Harvey Weinstein, Co-Chairmen of The Weinstein Company, the majority owner of Genius Products, and Vince McMahon, WWE's Chairman, along with Genius Products' Trevor Drinkwater, President and CEO, Genius Products' Stephen K. Bannon, Chairman, and WWE's Shane McMahon, Executive Vice President, Global Media, and Donna Goldsmith, Executive Vice President, Consumer Products.

"Home entertainment is a major part of the WWE's business, and we believe we have found in Genius a company that understands our brand and will help us continue to drive our company's growth," said Vince McMahon. "Bob and Harvey Weinstein have a tremendous track record. We're excited about this partnership and its long-term potential."

WWE has successfully used its core businesses of live events, pay-per-view, and producing television content for broadcast and cable networks to establish a vibrant global brand with a presence in more than 130 countries. The company has significantly expanded its line of popular licensed consumer products, such as video games, toys, books and magazines, to territories around the world. WWE is focused on spreading its sports entertainment content to new media platforms, and has experienced success with subscription video on demand, broadband and mobile services, online advertising and ecommerce. It also has created a film division focused on the production of feature films, and other film and television projects.

Bob Weinstein noted, "WWE is not simply a brand; it is an American Icon. Harvey and I very much relate to Vince McMahon's entrepreneurial style and entertainment philosophy. We love what Vince has done in making WWE the leading sports entertainment franchise in the world, and we are very interested in expanding our relationship beyond DVD distribution to other facets of WWE's global entertainment empire. We view our relationship with WWE as a major alliance with great growth potential."

Shane McMahon added, "The entrepreneurial spirit of our two organizations is very similar. We look forward to the potential of working together on a wide array of future projects to include a line of co-produced direct-to-video movies."

WWE has seen particular success in offering its content in the DVD format, and its home entertainment business has successfully bucked the industry trend of flattening DVD sales. In 2006, 10 of WWE's DVD releases achieved the No. 1 position on the Sports DVD charts, according to Nielsen VideoScan. WRESTLEMANIAÆ 22 debuted at No. 5 among all DVD releases in the U.S. and is now the No. 1 best-selling WWE DVD of all-time. Home entertainment revenue accounted for $42 million, or 10 percent, of WWE's revenues for fiscal year 2006, more than double from the prior fiscal year.

Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, Genius will be the exclusive U.S. distributor for all WWE DVDs. New releases will include content from WWE's 90,000-hour video library, the largest of its kind in the world, featuring content from RAWÆ, SmackDown!Æ and ECWÆ (Extreme Championship Wrestling(tm)), pay-per-view events, including WrestleMania, and past and present Superstar profiles, among others. The deal was negotiated by Trevor Drinkwater and Mitchell Budin, EVP Sales for Genius, and Joel Satin, Senior Director, Home Entertainment and Publishing, for WWE.

Genius assumes distribution for WWE's titles on November 1, 2006. The first title to be distributed features one of WWE's greatest legends, BORN TO CONTROVERSY: THE RODDY PIPER(tm) STORY (November 14, 2006, street date). This will be followed by THE SPECTACULAR LEGACY OF THE AWAÆ (November 21, 2006, street date) and the RAW brand's pay-per-view, WWE CYBER SUNDAY(tm) 2006 (December 5, 2006, street date). Genius will release a minimum of 25 new titles in 2007, with additional plans to exploit WWE's DVD catalog of more than 100 titles.

In making the announcement, Drinkwater noted, "The WWE has transformed sports entertainment into a cultural phenomenon through broadcasting, live events and the Superstar icons they create, which are brands unto themselves. We are honored to be associated with a global brand such as WWE. The company continues to expand its presence in the marketplace through creative programming and brand-building, which, in turn, helps provide for unique, high-quality DVD programs."

Added Donna Goldsmith, "Our DVD titles continue to dominate the sports category and to grow in popularity. With Genius and its team of savvy, experienced industry veterans, we will continue this track record of performance and expand upon it."

The momentum behind the WWE further strengthens Genius' rapidly growing library of sports and entertainment content. Over the past year, Genius has been strategically expanding its position in the industry through the introduction of new brands and strategic content provider partnerships across key power alleys such as Sports and Fitness and Lifestyle, now complemented by WWE and ESPN.

Steve Bannon added, "Our partnership with WWE validates our thesis of building a company with major studio infrastructure/supply chain and independent studio attitude and aggressiveness. WWE has demonstrated its confidence in Genius' ability to achieve broad retail distribution with a 'best in class' philosophy. Partnerships with this caliber of company will enable Genius to deliver long-term shareholder value."

I know this comes as a change of topic, but does anyone agree that the Vengeance cover looks awful? It lacks any focus whatsoever and is just a bunch of images all over the place. I wish WWE would stick to their poster art for most DVD covers as they are usually a lot nicer (especially in the case of Vengeance). The trend lately, though seems to be a new cover design (i.e. Backlash, Judgment Day and Vengeance).

I love the Vengeance art. I thought the set at the PPV was one of the best they've ever done and I'm glad they incorporated the theme of the show into the art.

As for the blockbuster exclusive. Getting the dvd at my local blockbuster wasn't as smooth as it usually is. They had a hard time finding it. They usually pluck it from behind the counter, not this time though. Anywho, They found me one and my collection is still intact.

My only complaint about the Vengeance cover art is that they show Johnny Nitro...err...em...I mean John Morrison with the ECW title over his shoulder. It might have been better to have shown he and CM Punk next to each other with the ECW title between them or something.
That's the same thing that used to bug me about the King Of The Ring videos. They would list every match on the back cover, thus giving away the results of the earlier rounds of the tournament.

i am guessing the Great American Bash blockbuster bonus disc will include the Battle Royal for the World Title that Khali won and #1 Contender match between Kane/Batista and possibly the Face-to-Face confrontation with Cena/Lashley on RAW week before the ppv.
