There have been certain speculations/rumors involving Stephanie as to why.

Also, not DVD related but relevant to the topic, but Jakks tried to sign Savage for a Classic Superstars figure but they were denied permission by WWE. However, WWE allowed Jakks to sign Bret Hart (long before there were any talks between him and Vince), Bruno Sammartino, Honky Tonk Man, and even the Ultimate Warrior (twice!!). So if Bret, Bruno, and Warrior were given the green light one can only begin to imagine what it must be with Savage (and people have imagined quite a few things regarding the above mentioned rumors)

Don't tell me Stephanie McMahon had an affair with the Macho Man? Say it ain't so!

The urban legend spawned many stories. Everything from Savage flirting with Steph to having sex with an underage Steph.

Think about it:

Hogan and Bischoff literally tried to ruin Vince's life and take down his empire and he signed both their paychecks.

Sable sued Vince for millions and he signed her check.

Bret and Bruno both signed up for a Jakks figure. Warrior signed up twice for a Jakks figure.

So while the Savage/Steph urban legend may be false, I can see why people would think "it must be this reason Vince hate Savage so much"

Wildo, please stop trolling in the wrestling threads. In your own words from another thread on this same day:

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on something I wanted to order from wwe shop.com but never felt an urgency to pull that said trigger.

It's not quite the wm anthology leather bound, but hell it's something....

Here's the wwe shop Mcmahon dvd package.

Damn. Now I'm feeling tempted to get this (and I already gave the Vince DVD).

I guess I could get most of my money back if I buy this and then sell the DVD and shirt.

After watching Smackdown tonight......maybe there will be a Best of the Great Khali DVD one day.

I find it funny that about a year ago he was supposed to be in a Punjabi Prison Match (which was billed as his signature match) at the GAB PPV but was pulled because the WWE didn't think he could pull off a good match on live tv......but yet somehow he is the CURRENT SMACKDOWN CHAMP........words can not describe this. Atleast they could have thrown Mark Henry a bone after all these years. LOL

I found this on a wrestling website and also on the KOCH site as well.

The Koch Entertainment website lists a small preview for an upcoming WWE produced DVD on The Undertaker and his WrestleMania streak. The DVD will be titled "Undertaker: 15-0."

Its being released in Canada on 10/23/2007. It will be a compilation of all of Taker's WM matches, hopfully will be in their entirety.

They are already on the WM Anthology but its good to have all the matches on 1 disc than rather switching discs to watch his matches.

Also on a side note, the extras listed on the Vengeance DVD itself are:

DVD Extras:
Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda Interview
Magnum T.A. Interview
Harley Race Interview
Dean Malenko Interview
Ricky Steamboat Interview
Tony Garea & Rick Martel Interview

Too bad theres no bonus matches.

If I remember correctly, Khali was pulled from the punjabi match because of the infamous elevated liver enzyme scare of 2006. Lashley and psychosis were also victims of that. True, when Khali was cleared to return and a summerslam match with taker was ready to take place they pulled it and put it on a taped smackdown instead, rumored to be because they preferred to edit his matches. As for mark henry being thrown a bone.....hell what about kane being thrown a damn bone!!!!!

***(dvd thread, quick talk about a dvd release before you get yelled at)***

Uhm.....anyone get the blockbuster vengeance dvd early?

WWE has been working on the Summerslam Anthology DVD for some time now. The DVD set has been put on hold, for the time being, as they decide what to do with Chris Benoit footage.

Dammit Benoit. I was looking forward to having SummerSlam '98 on DVD.

My opinion is that they should leave all the Benoit matches and appearances in. If they want to by politically correct, just put a intro message by Vince or a disclaimer to appease anyone who critizices the set even though they aren't going to purchase it.

This may be an idiotic idea, but we (wrestling fans from all forums and sites,) should petition to WWE to include the Benoit footage on future releases.

For a very long time now I have been waiting for a slam and survior anthology releases, but with these matches cut out, it would be a definite no-buy.

I agree. Not releasing the Summer Slam Anthology because of some Chris Benoit appearances would be an absolute travesty.

I have all of the Summerslams on dvd that Benoit participated in, so I'd still get an anthology set. I just need SS 88-98.

Benoit wasn't in WWE in 98.

His first Summerslam was 2000. Basically if they remove his matches we won't see:

2000 - Jericho vs. Benoit 2/3 falls match
2002 - RVD vs. Benoit IC title
2003 - Eddie vs. Tajiri vs. Rhyno vs. Benoit US title
2004 - Orton vs. Benoit World Title (basically they would make JBL/Taker the main event)
2005 - Jordan vs. Benoit (was only 25 seconds, not s big lose)

But i have a feeling they will completely remove the Benoit matches from the future Anthologies, which would be a shame for Survivor Series since they would have to remove the elimination matches he was in. I noticed on the WWE auction website they have the Survivor Series 2004 autograph poster and they actually blurred Benoit out, so i think WWE will take that route and rather than blurring and in the same time butchering the event they will just remove any Benoit matches on the ppv. I know it will suck but i guess WWE has to do this for the time being to avoid a PR disaster.

I am glad i own all the WWE DVD ppvs from 1999-present.

Like I said before I sure hope WWE doesn't do this and I don't think they can. I mean, after awhile the mainstream media will lose interest and WWE will only have to worry about its fans. Can you imagine the backlash WWE will get from wrestling fans if they remove him? I know I'd find it pointless to buy anything that has a Benoit match removed.

Hopefully this is just an initial first reaction and after a while they realize that it's up to the fans to decide if they choose to forget benoit ever existed and not have wwe force us to forget by using the ol' out of sight out of mind routine. Whether it be with a disclaimer before a benoit match and then simply using the skip to the next chapter function on there remote. Whatever it is, I just think deleting benoit will do nothing for an already f'd up situation.
