Sounds like they didn't have the premium version of Peacock... it's the only plan that has the local NBC channel.

Yes you can but not on the Premium plan (the $20/year deal). You need the Premium Plus plan.

I have not found a way either. Best I've been able to do is skip ahead to the end and let the last minute or so play. That only works if there isn't another episode or title in the series otherwise...

Yes you can. It's no different than switching over to a bluray player or game console.

Both of those offer ad-free tiers (subject to select shows that have them). Doesn't sound like NBC is planning to offer that or at least they didn't included that tier in the announcement.

This is why I bought the whole series on VUDU when it was $30. Plus I still have physical copies of all the seasons.
