I get the same problem with an old Sony 27" TV i have as well.... After it's been off for a long period of time (lets say over night) the next day when i turn it on the set emits a high pitched...

The $10 was just a rough estimate, i dont really know how much the disc will retail normally here in Canada, but @ $19.99 it seemed like a decent deal for a new 2-disc set. -rolleyes-
