I have a 709 and it can be done. You just need oceans of patience to pull it off, but it does work , I promise! I think the trick is to time your button presses to coincide with the words appearing...

If you are a DTS fan then its still worth it if you can get one cheap. I haven't seen release dates for the Alien series, Die Hard series, Armageddon, True Lies etc. in DTS yet.
