That's your own fault. I questioned it days ago, so you had to know I would go off the menu and argue about it. You could have taken the same risk - and from a cost/benefit analysis, it was worth it since 3 answers were very likely (and each would get a number of votes) and I would only get 1 more point than the most common if I was ruled wrong.

Second Barbary War
There are a few military engagements as well, but that's pretty much the whole list. No one answered the Civil War, which would've been an incorrect answer. But there were plenty of incorrect answers.

I don't see why the Civil War isn't a correct answer (if somebody answered that). I assume Lincoln had authorization from Congress and it certainly wasn't informal.
