I guess our being on the left side of the pond has really sheltered us from Gary Glitter's rather reprehensible crimes. I still hear 'Rock 'n Roll Part 2' used at sporting events.

I recall UK fans and critics losing their shit when that tune was prominently featured in Joker. I read quite a few comments from Brits wondering if Todd Phillips was trying to suggest something about pedophilia in the movie by using Glitter's song. Since he was jailed, I've seen users on UK message boards react rather badly to the very mention of his name.
