Re: Sirius XM streaming
I'm up for renewal at the end of the month. I don't use the app, so that won't sway me, but I'll need the same discount rate or cheaper to continue. That runaround is always annoying.

And I'd imagine that by confessing to this frivolous spending, I just caused zyzzle to die a little inside.

Sometimes (like right now) I can't even get the webplayer to actually play. I hit play on the channel and nothing fucking happens.

Yeah, that's when I usually switch to a different channel, and then back again. Fixes it. At least it used to.

I have to go into settings then app settings to get tune start to work each morning. Something is wrong when your browser favorite is set to that page instead of the library.

Re: Sirius XM streaming
We recently bought a (newer model!) car for my wife that doesn't have a SiriusXM tuner, but does have CarPlay. Some Google and Reddit research revealed that SiriusXM apparently has no way to tell if the same account is listening on a car tuner and the app at the same time, so we canceled her account and just use mine now for both cars (my tuner, her app). They didn't give us any attitude about canceling or refunding when I told them that she no longer had a SiriusXM-capable vehicle.

Well at least SiriusXM is listening to some of the complaints. They've fixed the artist/song display on the web player. It no longer wastes one of the two lines with the channel description. Artist/song uses both lines again.

Re: Sirius XM streaming
The latest app update has restored the 15s skip forward and back, it seems. Sounds like a bunch of other stuff too. Don't think it's fixed being able to arrange favorites. I'm still using pre-7.0 though, so I'm gonna wait until I hear more positive feedback before updating.

It is a whole screen filled worth of fixes and updates.

What’s New
Jan 30, 2024 Version 7.1.0- Skip forward 15s and back 15s are back in the player controls alongside skip forward segment and back segment
- Restart show functionality has been reintroduced for live talk shows, replacing the less-useful “Back 1 Hour” button
- For on demand content, the sleep timer button has been moved into the three dots menu in the lower bottom right of the player to make room for other more commonly used functionality
- For on demand content, the playback speed button has been moved to the bottom of the player
- For on demand content, a restart show button has been added to the bottom of the player
- We’ve added Picture-in-Picture support so video content can continue to play when the app is backgrounded
- Cross-Fading experience between audio tracks has been improved
- Improved results when searching for an Episode, Podcast or Show name
- Added an “Undo” button in case you mistakenly remove an item from your library
- Fixed a number of bugs related to casting
As a talk show listener, the first two above were must-haves for me. I've been hanging onto the old version, but maybe I go ahead an update soon if the above goes over well in reviews.

Re: Sirius XM streaming
They should have just done this:
What's New
Jan 30, 2024 Version 7.1.0
- We went back to the old version
Well, they still lost me for now. I have adapted my Spotify to basically anything I was getting or using for me personally on SiriusXM so I have no need to return at this point. Hope my cancellation (and I am sure others) helped some others out to get them to this point.

V7.1.1 was released yesterday.
Not sure when they added this to the library tab but you can now sort by recently played, A-Z and recently added. Sorting by channel number was a 4th option briefly but is now gone this morning. I don't see sorting options on the web player.
Just bring back v6 dammit.

Web player has the "restart show" and 15-second forward/rewind buttons back on talk stations.

Re: Sirius XM streaming
Finally updated to the new app because the old one was no longer supported by Sonos. Saw the list of features included in the latest release so figured it'd be okay - which is mostly the case but I really dislike the UI and layout. Much preferred the tiles in the old UI.

Re: Sirius XM streaming
Now if they will just allow us to manually sort our libraries again... things would be (mostly) back to normal.

Y'all can go ahead and thank me for cancelling. Without that, none of these updates would have happened.

Manual sorting is back! iOS v7.4.0 out today. Also on the web (where I first saw it.)
