^ One of my favorite artists. I've seen him 21 times live. And Joan is a fantastic song that highlights Butch's phenomenal ability to tell a story within a song. He puts together song/story like few I've known. This is another of his amazing stories.

^I like that one, Geofferson.
I like that song, too, though I think that album is one of his lesser ones, along with Afraid of Ghosts. He has had a very diverse solo career. The first album was loud and heavy, and since then he has alternated between poignant singer/songwriter stuff (like "Dominoes" and "Joan") and anthemic Springsteen-esque rockers, which I like the most, musically.
Here's a classic from 1980, Harlequin's "Innocence". I don't think I have posted it in this thread.

^ That's some delightful proto-80s pop!
Apologies if I've posted this before. I love this song, video and album.

Andy Prieboy (the better Wall of Voodoo vocalist - my hot take) This song is a killer slow-burn death ballad, bitterly sad with some cool production/arrangement.
Too lazy to confirm but believe that's Johnette Napolitano too

Currently obsessed with Muse's new killer tune "Get up and Fight"
It's an earworm song...wake up with it stuck in my head, hum it in the shower and played on repeat on my drive to work. Somebody help.

I quite dig that Andy Prieboy song. What a voice he has.

Andy Prieboy was fine in Wall of Voodoo, but I'm definitely more of a Stan Ridgway fan. And on that note, here's one of Stan's later ones. This is a classic tale of the rise and fall of a rock band:
