The tour has officially started - here's the set-list from last night's show in MD. They played 7 songs from the new album. I saw pics and looks like Papa takes off the hat and robe towards the end - like he did for the unplugged shows.

Here's a 3-song set from Deezer Sessions.
Pinnacle to the Pit
Cirice
Absolution
Man, I suggest you watch it through your home theater speakers, because the bass made me cream my pants. It was fantastic.

So dissapointed I'm on deployment and missing that show in San Diego. Really hoping there is another tour the beginning of the year but I doubt it.

I want to like this band so much. They have such a great sound and I find the imagery very cool, and I have friends that like them. But with all of the lyrics being Satan Satan Satan, I'm having a hard time with it. I'm not really a religious dude, but I'm sort of a lapsed Christian. I don't really keep up with all the dogma, but still find it sort of comforting to believe in a higher power. Maybe it's just superstition at this point, I admit that, but it sort of keeps me from enjoying lyrics that are so blatantly Satanic.
And I get that it's mainly theatrics, it's obviously a very well constructed image and brand, but I can't quite get past those lyrics. I don't have a problem listening to say Marilyn Manson or Rob Zombie, which you could compare in the theatrical aspect, but I don't have a problem believing it's an act for those guys, and their lyrics don't quite hit you over the head with it like Ghost's do.

Just try to think of it like it is an over the top horror movie or something. I'm pretty sure that the band doesn't take the lyrics seriously, so neither should their audience. I'm not religious at all, and certainly don't believe in Satan, so I just think their lyrics are fun in a corny evil kind of way.

They're actually playing here a week from today, and I'm kinda wondering if I shouldn't just bite the bullet and go see them and see if I can be converted. It was actually a live show that got me into Manson. He was on the bill at Ozzfest one year when I attended, and I wasn't particularly excited to see him (he kind of weirded me out a little before that), but I actually ended up having more fun with his set than just about anyone elses, and that's when I became a fan.

You should. If the show isn't already sold out in your city, it will be come that night.
The Satan angle is amusing and said with jest and obvious satire but they're also neat little concept/stories.

Well, that was pretty much a perfect show. They sounded incredible. Loved all of the theatrical elements. I had a great spot right next to the merch booth, totally unobstructed. Grabbed a tour poster and baseball tee after the last song.

Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread
Agreed. I managed to get a spot about 10 or so feet from the stage, right between center stage and the Nameless Ghoul on lead guitar (march booth-side). Talk about theatrics! They really bring it. Loved how all their water bottles had to have straws
. I tried to catch a guitar pick about three times, but it was not meant to be. The shirts looked great, but prices were a little high for my taste. Papa was great. I was surprised about how much backing vocals were piped in to support him. Still, his voice sounded pretty strong most of the night.
Oh, and the lead singer of Purson is welcome to serenade me in that outfit anytime. Something about girls and guitars. *sigh*

We had seats at the front of the balcony which was fine and allowed us to get a full unobstructed view. The sound was terrific and Papa sounded great. Purson was awesome and the lead singer is such a babe.

Almost forgot, I was close enough to get one of the communion wafers from the sisters. It's just a plain old wafer, no logo or anything (liked I'd hoped).
