That is serious blasphemy. Gary Numan is a musical God.
The years that I'm not terribly thrilled about right now are:
1970 James Brown (get up), although I kinda like the idea of kicking off the party with that track.
1985 A-Ha (take on me)
I'm going to spend the next few hours cleaning up around the house and listening through the whole thing...

2002 - Elvis Presley - 'A Little Less Conversation' is pretty catchy and has the benefit of introducing some older music via a new version.
Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" did well that year according to the interwebs but I couldn't even tell you what it sounded like!

I mean I love David Bowie as much as anyone, but 3 Bowie songs in your mix included 2 back-to-back?! Sorry but there should be at most 1 song per artist in a mix, so you really should make a Sophie's Choice and cut 2 of those Bowie songs.
Luckily there are a ton of great songs you could sub in each of those musically-rich years (for example, 1975 has Earth Wind & Fire's "Shining Star" which always goes great in a party).

Update - the party was great and the playlist went down a storm.
I believe I heard the words "genius" and "brilliant" in regards to my selections all night long.
Thanks to those that helped!
My next party is going to be a "white trash" party. Either later this month or early next month.

This is the music snob in me speaking, but there's a heavy focus on questionable "novelty" hits and cheesy "OMG, that's so 70s/80s/90s" stuff here. I get that it's a party, but sure there's some room for fun, time-specific music that's also good?
/this is why I hate parties, I don't get it.
