They are certainly a different sound. I think they're both brilliant albums.

I like this new track. Could easily be a song on evermore. It has the same funky 7/4 (or whatever) music time as "closure" and "long story short". Those songs are so interesting to me. You just never hear mainstream songs with that sort of rhythm.

Hard to say for sure. Assumng it is her real signature, it appears she got writer's cramp and did it really fast/sloppy.

Many different images of taylor's signature found via googiing, look slightly different from one another. Would need more samples of her handwriting to know for sure.

Yeah I take it as writer’s cramp and half-assing it. The CD cost me $20-$25 shipped. It’s in an Amazon CD frame and hanging in my office. I’m not sweating it.

This new version of Red is great. Hard to believe some of these newly recorded songs got cut (yet Girl at Home made the Extended Edition release the first time around).
Man I love the Phoebe Bridges duet “Nothing New” so much. Beautiful song, beautifully sung.


And of course there’s the ten-minute All Too Well. I really like it, though I am sure it’s too much of a good thing for many people. The new ending “I was there…” is pretty cool. I do get why she cut the song down obviously, but WHY would she ever cut the lyric “You kept me like a secret, I kept you like an oath”. That is boss-level songwriting. Anyway, here’s the music video / short film starring Dylan O’Brien.

Taylor's string of music videos with famous young movie stars playing her awful ex boyfriend continues with this one, the directorial debut of her friend Blake Lively. It's pretty fun

I have not been shy at how much I do not care for Swift as a person but 1989 is absolutely brilliant. I think it's one of the best records of the last 20 years. Credit where credit is due.
