It's back to it's regular price of $9.99, so it was only a three dollar savings.

I've never heard of this guy, and the samples are nothing special. Why the premium price? $1.29 per song is more of an Apple thing than Amazon.

I was being sarcastic. It was a terrible deal of the day compared to nearly every other deal they have had in the past.

I sure hope not. Though Amazon's pricing can be all over the map sometimes. Like when they have a bunch of albums on sale for $1.99 for no reason and they don't really advertise the sale.

Those are price matching another site, either 7digital or Google Music. Their Deal of the Day prices have been terrible lately. The only deals these days seem to be price matches.
Right now they seem to be matching some other site with grunge albums for $3.99. They have Pearl Jam's "Ten", Nirvana's "In Utero", Soundgarden's "Superunknown" and Alice In Chain's "Dirt".
