If it was a misprice, "The System Has Failed" would be an apt title.

I've seen this on other releases, and on other mp3 download sites. There is a subtle difference between the two listings, with the $8.99 listing a release date of March 4, 2008. It's possible the record company sent Amazon the album twice, and Amazon made two separate listings for it. I don't think the $2.99 price is a misprice though.
Not too bad a price for some Fleetwood Mac. Tusk by Fleetwood Mac $4.99 |

That's a great album, but note that "Sara" is the edited version (due to time constraints on a CD). They don't seem to have the full version of that song.

I'm not sure if this is a special deal or the regular price, but Amazon has a new Cure album for $3.61. It's listed as an EP, but it's 37 minutes long.

Not sure if this is a DOTD or regular price, but it is a great price regardless:

Anyhoo... thanks to you for starting this thread -- you've introduced me to some new stuff, finally gotten me off the fence on some I was considering, and sometimes reminded me of things I'd forgotten. This is a near-daily stop for me now. You're doing the impossible: making my iPod happy without making my wallet sad. All the best, |
Not quite a DOTD, but arguably better ...
As noted on FatWallet, Amazon.com is running a $10 off Sony BMG titles promotion in their MP3 store. Since most of their single-disc albums run $9.95 on the MP3 store, you can basically get a free album out of the deal. Qualifying albums will have a "Special Offers Available" link below the price on the album details page; click it to get a promotional code, which you'll need to redeem before downloading the album (see the "Redeem..." link below the "Buy MP3 album..." button). I can confirm that it works -- I grabbed The Clash's From Here To Eternity Live, and the receipt showed a total price of $0.00. |

The album on sale is actually "Yankee Foxtrot Hotel" (your link points correctly).

Social Distortion's entire Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell for nothin'.
Can't beat that. Thanks, OP! |
Just got Peter Bjorn and John Writer's Block.
Here are some artists I was debating prior to that purchase: Bruce Springsteen Bob Dylan Pink Floyd Cindy Lauper Gloria Estefan Sarah McLachlan and most Broadway music recordings are released by SONY BMG for those looking. OP - you might consider posting this info in the hot deals forum as not everyone checks the Amazon DOTD and this is definitely a hot deal. |

Is the free Sony BMG deal over with already? Was it only for Saturday? I've checked a couple albums with no luck.
**Forget it. I just went and looked at fatwallet. Sorry. |
