The strange thing about "Queen: Live Killers" is no one knows where any of the source material is derived from. It's known it was recorded during their 1979 tour...
I never had a complaint with the audio quality, but this guy who has this website is a hardcore Queen fan...far from the casual listener who happens to know a lot about the band like me.

In 1979 Queen decide to record their European gigs of the Live Killers tour and release a 2LP. The result is worse than expected. While some of the songs are truly brilliant (Now I'm Here or Brighton Rock with Brian's guitar solo), the sound quality is awful, several songs are missing and the album itself is a compiled from recordings of several concerts. And - nobody remembers where the tracks come from! After an extensive research several songs have been recognized - see the link in the bottom of this page for more info. A lot of people are also asking: "why is there a beep before Death On Two Legs?" The beep is intentional because Freddie introduced the song: "This next song is from 'A Night At The Opera'. This is about a dirty nasty man, we call him motherfucker, do you know what motherfucker means? I'm sure you have a word for it! We call him, we also call him 'Death on Two Legs' Heh heh heh hey!"

Man, if you can get ahold of Pearl Jam's 1994 show in Atlanta, it's pretty amazing. I have a bootleg copy of it that I got in collage. They may have released and offical version. So many of those 'illegal' sound board recordings were amazing. Label-produced live recordings sound a little too 'polished' to me.

Frampton Comes Alive (Peter Frampton) - ownership of the vinyl LP is required for everyone who was in high school in the 70s.
Live From Neon Park (Little Feat) - IMO the best "capture" of what an "in concert" experience actually feels like. The first 60 seconds lets you know that this is unlike any other "live" album you've heard - from the sound of rain on the street as you approach the venue, to the excited hubbub of the crowd as they work their way through the lobby (complete with background music) inside and to their seats, all the way to the way the band is introduced and how they play off the audience throughout the concert. While Little Feat may or may not be on your short list of favorite bands (they are on mine, btw), LFNP "feels" more like being at a concert than any other live album I've heard.

Hmmm, beg to differ, at least when we're talking about world class DJs like the Chems.
