When does a new Kayne West CD drop?

Does anyone know when/if Kayne West will be putting out a new CD in the near future?

If? Did you see his display at the Grammys?

The next CD will be a 7 CD opus called "I'm Awesome, and I'll cut Maroon 5 if anybody says different."

Due at Christmas.

In a recent interview he says a new album is 70% done, so my guess is not anytime soon.

In Blender, they had a blurb about his next album where they said he called the reporter from the magazine an asshole and said that they were just sucking up to him because they didn't give his "masterpiece" (debut) 5 stars, just 4.

What a tool.

yet blender says it was the best album of the year. as well as putting both "pieces of me" and the ashlee simpson album in the top 50 song/albums of the year, so there goes all the fuckin credibility they had

Just because something is an album of the year, doesn't mean it's a five star album. My point was that he was getting bent out of shape over getting a 4 star review instead of a 5, which is ridiculous.

As for the whole Ashlee Simpson thing, I actually think Pieces of Me was a good single. It was very catchy and well marketed. Her album however, probably wasn't that good. But Blender tends to cover more mainstream acts, so it's no big deal.

Album of the year?! Pffft, I can name at least 5 hip hop albums than IMO were easily superior. Let alone the other genres.

Its going to be strange to see how the John Mayer/Kanye West song turns out. What's with the strange pairings Jack White/Loretta Lynn, Nelly/Tim McGraw, and now Mayer and Kanye?

?uestlove of The Roots produced and drummed on Mayer's 'Clarity,' the first song off Heavier Things. So John's been keepin it real for a couple years now

Unlike the Nelly/McGraw thing which never ever should have happened, I think the collaboration will be cool, because personalities aside, they're both awesome musicians...

He has a single our for his new album called "Diamonds are Forever". Its a good song, kinda different from his other stuff but still an obvious Kanye track.

Jack White's music is country-influenced and he's actually a good musician. If you said Good Charlotte / Loretta Lynn then I'd be surprised.

Oh, and The Roots and John Mayer were on a Chapelle show together as well.

I just got that single, it's a pretty good song. I love how it samples Shirley Bassey's "Diamonds are Forever".

I liked College Dropout quite a bit. I'll be getting Late Registration.

Speaking of weird pairings, isn't Jack Johnson on one of Common's new songs?

Jack Johnson's on the new Black Eyed Peas CD, Monkey Business. They just sampled "Gone" and changed the name to "Gone Going."

I had a thread somewhere about his new single. Either way, there are tons of bootleg, wannabe Late Registration mixtapes running around on the 'net, but nothing solid should be leaked for a while. I can't wait for this one, probably my most wanted CD of the year.

John Mayer's on one of Common's new songs. It's called 'Go' on 'Be'. He's not all that involved; all he says is 'Go' in the chorus. His name is included as a writer in the liner notes though so maybe he had a part in the songwriting. There's no obvious guitar though... I like the song.

I was not feelin the clip of the Mayer/Kanye song that i heard but that was back during the grammys and they were still in the studio with it so maybe they fixed it up
