I missed out on The Smiths in the 80s(they weren't played much in south Alabama, oddly enough) and have only in the past few years listened to them. I have the Singles and really enjoy 90% of it. My favs are Girlfriend in a Coma, Ask, Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now, The Boy with the Thorn in His Side and What Difference Does it Make. Someone recommend some others for me, ones that aren't on The Singles CD. Thanks!

pics?!?!

I went with the first choice, although I actually fit into the "I really enjoy the Smiths" category.

I do absolutely love the album Meat is Murder, though.

Bump.

Can’t say that Morrissey hasn’t earned his bad reputation.

I'm a big fan of The Smiths and Morrissey, but ol' Steven Patrick has always seemed like quite a twat.

Morrissey is slowly turning into one of those people that I will become more and more embarrassed of having once been a fan.

I think that was all cemented when the rule was established that at festivals, vendors aren't allowed to sell any products with meat on the day Morrissey performs.

Go see Sweet and Tender Hooligans instead. Good band, you get all the songs, and Jose Maldonado would probably have a cheeseburger with you after the show.

Slowly? I think he probably already crossed that bridge a long time ago.
