Hey, I know we can't really discuss it here, but if anyone feels the urge I'd love an e-mail with some urls to good places to download shows. Kazaa doesn't seem to have too much of whole shows, unfortunately.

Audio Taping Audio cassette and DAT taping is permitted at shows for personal, non-commercial, home use only. We recommend that you bring microphones and portable tape machines. Do not expect power; be prepared for everything. Please stay out of the way of the working crew at all venues. Some things that are never allowed at moe. shows are: CD-R's, large mixers, reel to reel, home decks, long extension cords, etc. Live tapes are a big part of why moe. is growing so rapidly, and we want to continue to provide as cozy taping environment for everyone as possible. Please respect the wishes of the band and the crew and feel free to ask questions and make comments. It's always been a goal of ours to make taping as much a part of the show as possible, please help us help you by following common sense at all times. Video Taping We regret to inform everyone that we will no longer allow video taping at shows. We have received several complaints over the past year about cameras being in the way. We will try our best to circulate video's of moe. shows. |

Tom - http://www.archive.org/audio/etreeli...etree&cat=moe.
All shows are in shn format, dl them and they can then be converted to wav files for burning to disc... If you need the software to do this go here > http://www.etree.org./mkw.html < it's free. |
Cool! Thanks for the links.

That 10,000 Lakes Festival looks pretty great...doesn't seem to have the hype that Bonnaroo's got, which makes it a little more attractive to me. Still waiting to hear where Phish's summer festival will be before I make my summer plans though...rumor is it might be in my hometown (in western PA), which would make for a really nice trip home...

Originally posted by Bust ...in Greensburg?? That would be shocking to me. Greensburg, PA, home of my favorite "full service" massage parlor! :D I should've been more specific...not in Greensburg specifically but in Westmoreland County (where Greensburg is) or Washington County (the neighboring county). In any case, if it was in one of these two counties, it would not be any more than 45 minutes from my parents' home. I should also say that my "sources" are purely speculation. Walfredo.com isn't always accurate (to put it nicely), but the rumor has spread beyond that site, so I'm hoping it might be true. By the way, that moe. NYE show looks excellent...have to try and download this weekend. |

Sorry Bust, I have a stack of shows to wade through at the moment and not enough time to listen (ditto SCI). Looks like a solid gig though.
An April 6th date just went up in Nashville... Think I'll head down and catch that one... Last show that I caught in Nashville (Riverstages last year) was pretty smoking. |

How's the sound quality on that show Bust? It's in my "to possibly download file" depending on the quality. Damn_excellent setlists.
They'll be back your way soon I suspect... Although they have been doing a lot of mid-west dates recently - both prior and post the western swing... Good for me. :) Not so good for the Northeast. :( Surprised at all of the Florida dates as well, they usually don't get down that way, guess they're making up for lost time. |

I tell you what though, downloading these shows is a SNAP with SmartFTP. I queue them up, start the download, let it run while I'm at work/sleeping/watching tv/surfing the net/etc...and they just pile up in my "To Be Burned" file. And if the connection ever drops out or I have to restart the computer for some reason, it picks up right where it left off. Killer. I too, am surprised with all the midwest dates. When I lived in Nebraska, we never got that much moe. Oh well, I'll see them enough when the time is right. |
Cool beans, I'll def give it a spin then...
