Hmm...
I'm a Sarah fan (though I've seen her live three times, and each time she seemed very mechanical), but I didn't like Surfacing.
1) Short (10 songs, one was on Rarities and one was instrumental)
2) Blatant (hey look....MORE shadow/light metaphors!)
FTE is still a classic, though. I LOVE the title track.

I love Sarah.
Sexy as hell. Her voice, her look, the total package.
Love all of her albums except for the first one. (I also have the Canadian B-sides disc).
And you'll have a hell of a time convincing me that "Building a Mystery" isn't a love letter to Fox Mulder.
