Re: Favorite vampire movie?
^ Didn’t Anne Rice herself say she wasn’t happy with Cruise being cast until she saw his performance and loved it?
I noticed Interview with the Vampire is streaming on Paramount +. I might have to give it another watch. I haven’t seen it since it was first released in VHS.

Dracula (1931)
Horror of Dracula
If I’m honest though I need to see more of them but those two are classics.

From Dusk Till Dawn, John Carpenter's Vampires, and Blade. All three movies mean a lot to me as they came out while I was in high school and have been a huge horror movie fan ever since.

I forgot about it, until watching it again with my wife last night: Renfield. Totally ridiculous, but also a ton of fun.

I have to go with Near Dark. First directed job by Kathryn Bigelow, the three actors from Aliens(Paxton, Henriksen, Goldstein) and a killer Tangerine Dream scores.

Re: Favorite vampire movie?
I can't think of a specific title that's an absolute favorite but I've been picking up more stuff in recent years and I find the classic Hammer movies to be a lot of fun. Also enjoyed Bram Stoker's Dracula and Interview with a Vampire quite a bit.
One I keep seeing at the used places is Dracula Untold, and I notice nobody has mentioned it so far so I'm not hopeful.
And the wife and I both love What We Do In The Shadows and the Castlevania series.
