But if there's no Batman, why is Alfred solving riddles? Wouldn't he just be a regular butler and not have access to the clues Batman gets from the police/crime scenes?

Does Jurassic Park turn more into Outbreak as they try and solve what's making the dinosaurs sick? In place of Nedry maybe someone is trying to sabotage the park from the inside by poisoning (maybe the lycene contingency that is mentioned and dropped) the dino's. So the dino action comes from tracking the threat in and out of the various dino areas.

What other flicks would transform into something different, yet still entertaining with the removal of a major plot point? Basic rule is to try and stay within what the plot still provides and not necessarily introducing something entirely new (my idea spawned from the unresolved sick dino subplot).
Wasn't it berries that it ate or something like that? Isn't that why they went digging in that one big pile of shit? Or was that in the book, or from another movie, or am I totally making that up?

Short Circuit without that lightning strike becomes a prequel for Terminator.

Terminator without the singularity point of Skynet becoming self aware becomes a prequel for Wall-E

Wall-E without randomly running in to EVE goes on to build a race of self aware transforming robots

Transformers without the title characters is the worst teen comedy about a boy buying his first car.

It was definitely explained in the movie as well. I like the idea of the thread, but the Jurassic Park example is way off.
