Saw the first one with my 9 year old and then this one a few days ago. Liked the beginning of what happened but at the end, my 9 year old looked a me and "oh well, guess there will be a #3."

Passed 160M at the domestic box-office this weekend. That's just 28M less than the original. I know this would have matched that or even surpassed it even if just a little had it not been for the pandemic. With a lot of people still concerned about returning to theaters. Nice success story.

Just watched this again at home on Paramount+ and it was OK but not great. I don't see myself watching again until part 3 comes out and even then not sure I'd need to rewatch it. It had some good jump scare moments and all but I still am not a fan of the two kids. I think the first time I watched I really liked the way they did parallel scenes playing out together but this time it was less compelling to watch. I think I gave it 3.5 stars and I'd probably drop it to 3.0

Just saw this and thought it was really good. The dock scene was fantastic.

Just finished this on Paramount+. Thought it was a pretty good sequel overall. More of the same as the first one, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The ending was pretty abrupt though.
