I’ll miss Fred Willard. He was funny every time I saw him. He’s a cool tidbit about him from Dan Telfer on Twitter:
I met Fred Willard backstage at a TV show. He said to me, "Dan let me teach you something I learned in showbiz. I'm gonna throw my shoe at you and if you catch it in time you can keep it. Not now, when you least expect it. Be ready." Then he walked away and I never saw him again.

John Oliver posted this from their adult guardianship main story from 2018. Apparently the Jimmy Stewart and "Jefferson" parts were not in the script. The relevant part starts at about 13:30.
Oh, and fuck hippos.

If you've never watched him and Martin Mull in Fernwood Tonight, one of the funniest TV shows of the 1970s that got rebroadcast on Nick At Nite in the 90s, you don't know what you're missing. It was a spoof of The Tonight Show, only taking place in the small town of Fernwood, Indiana.
I remember watching this as a kid in the late 70s with my Dad, who couldn't stop laughing every episode. Willard was in PERFECT form.
Here was one of my favorite bits: "Hello, Talk to a Jew, you're on the air..."

This one bums me out, but at least it seems he died peacefully and I also had no idea he was even in his 80s already.
Moreno really does look amazing for what, 86 at the time?.
