Re: RIP Kirk Douglas

re: the studio executive rumor- Kirk founded Bryna, his production company in '55, the year this is alleged to have taken place. That would qualify him, for the purpose of obfuscation, as a "studio executive".

But sure, Lana could be lying,I guess.

Michael Douglas said in a statement issued through his publicist: “May they both rest in peace.”

Worth noting, Natalie’s daughters have a strained relationship with Lara because she continues to go after Robert Wagner. The HBO documentary her daughter made is worth checking out.

I don’t really doubt the claim though.

^^ I read that article earlier today. Granted it’s being revealed in the process of promoting her new book, which never really helps credibility. Regardless, I believe her.

Re: RIP Kirk Douglas

Throw an allegation out there that really has no topical relevance other than to create headlines to sell a book about two dead people who can neither corroborate or contradict what she is claiming.

Unnecessary.

Re: RIP Kirk Douglas

Wow, I was wrong about this. The whole claim that Natalie Wood's sister was waiting until the perpetrator died before telling seemed like a made-up rumor to me, but it looks like that claim is true. Now get ready for movies Kirk Douglas was in to be "canceled" and not shown on TV anymore.

Has Robert Wagner ever commented on this rumor? He might be the only person left who knows the truth.

I would assume the last thing he wants to bring up lately is his late wife.

I thought Christopher Walken was involved too.

Not in discussions about Natalie Wood's past traumas, just in events around her death.
And I agree Wagner isn't going to want to discuss Wood at all.

Huh?

KD movies will stay on every station been on for years to come. Cosby is still alive and had a show with his damn name on it. Go do a search on Hulu for Douglas’ name. He’s all over the place and will remain as such.

Is there anyone else still alive that can collaborate her story?

I'm sure there are some, if she had confided in them.
Warren Beatty but I seriously doubt he would say anything even if he knew.
She had a close personal friend for decades in Mart Crowley but he died last year

The allegations in Lana Wood’s book won’t move the needle one bit. Natalie and Kirk Douglas have both passed away and neither one ever came out to discuss the incident definitively (at least that I’m aware of). These have been rumors for YEARS. Networks, studios, etc. can’t pretend that this is somehow revelatory information coming out now.

Walken was on the boat with Wagner and Wood when Wood went overboard. That's about all I know about the whole affair.
