With Feige on board, I fear we’ll get a 23 movie Star Wars Cinematic Universe (SWCU) opus (with the ones already released: Solo, Rogue One, the original trilogy, the new trilogy, etc.) all tying together and in the 2-part epic finale: force ghost Luke, standing in front of a once again resurrected Emperor Palpatine, proclaiming “I am the Force!”, snap his fingers, conjuring a super force power, never before seen in a Star Wars film and the entire Empire will turn to dust. Final scene: stock footage (used as an homage and final sentimental fuck off, err send off) from the bastardized version of Return of the Jedi of all the planets across the galaxy and its’ inhabitants joyously celebrating.

A cinematic universe like Marvel is exactly what Disney wants, and what they have been trying to do (mostly poorly) since they acquired the franchise.

A Star Wars cinematic universe would have to be well-planned, and span thousands of years instead of concentrating on the time between the PT and the ST. It's a huge playground, but Lucasfilm seems to have little desire to exploit it. There's not really a lot of overly ambitious stuff that's either been released or announced.Originally Posted by Obi-Wan Jabroni

I'm ok with this. Dude has bigger fish to fry in his own frying pan. Originally Posted by Deftones

There have been more cancelled Star Wars films than there have been actual Star Wars films.

Lucasfilm has been following the DC approach to filmmaking. Announce a bunch of shit, and throw them at a wall and see what sticks. I'm sure there has to be a master list of all the dead projects somewhere. It'd be fun to see.Originally Posted by stvn1974
