Another horror hit for WB. CURSE OF LA LLORONA is #1 this weekend capturing $26.5M in its debut, and on a budget of just $9M.
On top of the 26.5 million domestic opening, it grossed 30 million internationally this weekend (71 markets).

This was ok. Pretty standard Conjuringverse entry. Lots of cheap jump scares. Actors who are decent but not huge names so don't cost too much
Decent production values, but nothing excessively flash, enabling a good cost to profit ratio for these films
9 million budget, worldwide gross 122, good solid 50-70 million profit

Acting was fine but the rest was one big cliche of the supernatural-horror genre with too many jump scares and the evil entity pretty much reminded me of the Nun, which makes sense since this is set in the Conjuring Universe. 2.0/5
