The testimony - as I read it - was essentially that the events as stated couldn't have happened because the people involved were not present.. Hard to make charges stick at that point.

Spacey's already been canceled by Hollywood. He will never work on another mainstream production ever again. I highly doubt he will get any theater work either.

Wow! Of course, had this conviction come soon after the crime, he would already have served 2/3 of the sentence. Instead, he's been allowed to live his life through its prime.

No doubt the 'church' will be heavily dinged in the civil suit, but as their net worth is in the $2B range, it'll probably be a drop in the bucket, and they'll continue to harass anyone they deem a threat.

I’ve heard some small rumblings that Tom Cruise is slowly starting to remove himself from the Church of Scientology. I wonder if this is the beginning of the end for it.
