Before Pirates Depp didn’t do blockbusters. I don’t know how this shakes out. If he doesn’t get huge Disney blockbusters anymore but gets movies like he did in the 90s that would be awesome for Johnny Depp the actor, because that was easily the best decade of his career. The past 20 years hasn’t been quite as interesting. It would be nice if he got to give Captain Jack a proper send off though I guess.

While I would also love to see Captain Jack again let's be honest, Depp is at his best doing the smaller more obscure parts. I think the bigger issue is he may not want to work for Disney or WB again and I wouldn't blame him.

Thats basically what I said. But yeah I’d say it’s a toss up as to whether or not he gives Captain Jack a send off. On one hand, yeah he probably hates Disney, on the other he’s invested so much into the character that I could see him wanting closure, also one more nice big fat payday. Or maybe Disney still won’t want him back. Time will tell I guess.

Hollywood keeps recycling and rebooting the old shit and people are suckers and I would not be surprised if they did a new Pirates movie and it kills at the box office and Depp is back on top again.
