Sounds like it may be a good idea to skip the first 20-30 minutes of this movie, which will largely be Maron's character rambling about his cats.

There is word that the standalone DC Comics film is possibly targeting an R-rating as nudity is said to be involved in some smaller female roles. Our first assumption hearing this is that Todd might be casting actresses to play strippers in the film.

If I'd never heard his podcast, and the accompanying hype around how 'good' it is, I'd probably like Marc Maron a lot more. As it is, I think he's fine as an actor, but man I really dislike his podcast a whole lot, and that impacts my overall impression of him for whatever reason. I'm glad to see him turn up in more stuff, though.

I feel like he makes his interviews too much about himself. He interjects too many of his own experiences and anecdotes. I tune in for the guest and their stories, not Maron's.
It's a personal pet peeve of mine, I guess, but I also think he's over-hyped and really nothing special.

Truth be told I don’t see why it’s necessary to have Thomas Wayne in this anyways. It probably would be something dumb like in the New 52 where it’s revealed that he had a double life as an addict before Bruce was born and ran with crime families. Either that or like the Telltale series where it’s revealed he was a surgeon for crime families.
I’m guessing that’s how they’d try and tie him into Joker’s backstory somehow.

That’s about how I imagine it would go down. Likely before he becomes The Joker. Either that or if they went the junkie route Joker’s gang would be his supplier or something. All in some desperate attempt to tie Batman and Joker instead of just having them conflict naturally.
