Notice that the Library of Congress notes the "Indiana Jones and the..." as a "variant" title. But the official entry in the library is by its original, proper, and one and only title.

Re: Ghostbusters (2016, D: Feig)

Since this is getting released on dvd/bluray next week where it can be instantly forgotten. Midnight's Edge had another video to do on the subject, and a review that states the extended edition is pretty pointless. The rant towards the end at around the 14 minute mark is really good.

Re: Ghostbusters (2016, D: Feig)

Watched this last night and enjoyed it. It did not feel like a gimmick to me, and it had plenty of humor. Some jokes fell flat, but there were some really spectacular ghost sequences. It is light years better than Ghostbusters II, IMO. I was expecting a forced gender reversal shitfest and was pleasantly surprised.

Lol. I said earlier that it felt like a gimmick, but I also said given the positive reviews, I'd give it a chance. Which I did, and it far exceeded any expectations I had.

Just curious, which version did you watch? It hasn't been discussed here yet, but the extended cut has a lot of different lines sprinkled throughout, and obviously some additional scenes. I'm not sure how I feel about the changes in lines in some cases.

I watched the extended. I'll have to watch the theatrical to do a comparison.

You're going to watch it twice? Seriously, who is responsible for the hack? Don't tell me your password was "wouldbang69".

Re: Ghostbusters (2016, D: Feig)

So I saw this the other day and... it was so-so. I didn't laugh once but I also wasn't annoyed with anyone, particularly McCarthy, though there was her trademark snarky dialogue. Even though I don't think it was awful, I have no desire to watch it again.

Re: Ghostbusters (2016, D: Feig)

I thought this was worse then I expected, but my issues ended up being less with the main characters (who I didn't find nearly as bad as I expected) and more with how unfunny the jokes and lines were, not to mention a really poor plot and main villain compared to the original (or even Ghostbusters 2). Things felt a little too slapsticky like Slimer's appearence, the testing and use of their fancy weapons, and a lot of the stuff with Kevin.

The effects are really really cool though, especially at the end with the giant balloons.

I'm probably gonna catch the 3D version this weekend. I have an open mind and hope it exceeds expectations...

It's actually "wouldbang34 1/2" -- don't forget his ex got half of everything, even his password.

Neither of those passwords are good; you need at least one capital letter. Come on, guys. You're better than this.

I'd also put a pun in there.

"WoodBang34-1/2"

I would think Dan30poly hacked Eddie's account... but Sandler cannot be blamed for this particular shitfest.

Re: Ghostbusters (2016, D: Feig)

Eddie's right; this isn't horrible. We watched it last night and I liked it a lot more than my gal who has never seen a Ghostbuster movie. This does not deserve the hatred and vile spewing it is getting. As someone mentioned Adam Sandler is not in it.

Loved the Ernie Hudson cameo the others were just OK.

Leslie Jones was the least annoying of them as well.

Some truly very funny parts for me anyway. Probably never see it again but I enjoyed it and it was a fun movie for a Friday night.

I wish they would have done this last week, but at least they admitted it sucked. They actually disabled the comment section.

Kate McCosplay! That's funny.

Did I just see that there's Slimer and a Female Slimer and they steal the car and high jinx ensue? And they kiss? Some of you like this!?
