Currently at 68% on RT
I think this is a pretty level-headed and accurate summation of the critical response so far.
C+ from EW. Seems like it's ok, not terrible, not great. Hardly the garbage fire that many were predicting. And looks like all the embargo criticism was completely wrong. What a shocker.

71% but I usually look at the average score which is a 6.5/10, so kind of middle of the road at this point.

This CNET reviewer seems to like it:
'Ghostbusters' review: Fun, funny and full of freaky ghosts. The affectionate, well-cast update of the classic phantasmic comedy is one of the best remakes in years.
Sorry to disappoint so many in this thread.

Classic deflection.
The point remains valid - by spending the ENTIRE first paragraph decrying the, "Misogynist," critics of the movie and insulting them it's pretty clear that the reviewer wants to find a positive way to spin the movie so they can have the, "Neener, neener, neener - IN YOUR FACE," review to annoy said, "Misogynist," critics.
If the writer had no agenda the controversy would have been kept to a sentence and the focus would have been on the movie from word one.

Every review is going to mention the backlash. The movie itself addresses the backlash. You're not gonna find one that doesn't, which is lucky for you because you've clearly decided that any mention of it is a disqualifier.

Like I said earlier, the internet reaction will overshadow the movie itself, and that's not a good thing.

Why? The backlash has nothing to do with the quality or content of the movie. Are they movie critics or social justice commentators?

The whiney man babies have been defeated with an impressive display of maturity.

Has the Walk The Moon cover of the theme been posted yet? It's the first song on the soundtrack. It's actually very good - a nearly perfect update of Ray Parker's theme. Much better than the Fall Out Boy one, which I really hated.

Probably the most shocking thing to me is the stunned silence on the Ghostbusters subreddit. They took yesterday's review from the Cheetos guy and ran with it to the point that it landed on the front page of Reddit but there aren't as nearly as many posts accompanying the various reviews combined today.

I know I'm not.
I find the desperate attempts to defend this movie to be amusing. Whenever the messenger is attacked rather than the message it pretty much invalidates the argument presented by the attacker.
Face it, this is a messed up movie. I highlighted a couple points made by a critic earlier that show just a couple of the serious faults of this movie.
