They should cast Grant Gustin as a major FU to DC over Justice League.

-A spider biting someones hand
-An actor in a Spiderman's outfit swinging around.
-Bad guys who are tied up with Spider Webs being arrested by cops
-A door opening (cannot see who is opening the door) and Mary Jane says "Face it Tiger...you just hit the JACKPOT!"

Don't know. But it'd be hard to disconnect the two "Amazing Spiderman" movies if they're rebooting again.

My hope is this was in the works for awhile and they already had some scene filmed with:
-A spider biting someones hand
-An actor in a Spiderman's outfit swinging around.
-Bad guys who are tied up with Spider Webs being arrested by cops
-A door opening (cannot see who is opening the door) and Mary Jane says "Face it Tiger...you just hit the JACKPOT!"

While I am happy this is mostly out of the hands of Sony, I feel Andrew Garfield is getting unfairly shafted. I didn't care much for his Peter Parker, but I think he did a better Spider-Man than Tobey Maguire.
I really hope they skip the whole origin story this time around when Marvel makes the solo movie. Just show a montage of stuff happening or jump right into him having the powers. The general public has seen two origin stories and there's no need to tell it again.

He has kind of a douchey looking face and looks way young to me. Honestly I can't say that I'll miss Garfield as Peter or Spidey too much really. I don't feel like he did such a great job in either film that its a loss to not have him back for the new MCU film(s). I don't know much about Dylan O'Brien but he looks like he could fill the part pretty well to me.

He looks like he is 12 years old in that pic. I don't know who he is, so I looked him up on wikipedia, and he is apparently 24? WTF? Is that just a really old pic or does he really look like a 12 year old at age 24?
As for Garfield being out, it's most likely just because Marvel doesn't want to cause audience confusion by having the same actor play the same character in a reboot. They didn't bother getting Eric Bana back either for The Incredible Hulk for likely the same reason.

If Spider-Man is to be an integral part of Marvel's film mythology going forward, they will want a younger actor that can commit for a number of years. Even if Garfield was the perfect Spider-Man, he's simply too old at the moment to be playing the character in five years. Spider-Man will be used by Marvel to connect with teen audiences, since the Avengers are all older adults.

They simply don't want Garfield back. Nothing more interesting than that.
Even if he was under contract for a third film or 9 films or whatever those contracts exist to hook the actor, not the studio. The best an actor can hope for is a contract that ensures they still get paid regardless of whether the studio casts them or not. Have you ever heard of an actor contractually forcing their way into a movie against the studio's wishes? Didn't think so.

Screw it, bring Tobey back. He's old enough now to hang with the big boy Avengers.
