Doesn't he typically do Paramount films anyway?

My boss came up to me yesterday and asked me if I saw "Live. Die. Repeat." and it took me a minute to remember the name change. Stupid idea on WB's part.

This movie was damn good. So the fact it bomb due to horrible marketing is pathetic.

This was probably the best film (most fun) I have seen all year.

Is there another movie that has reviewed so well here this year?

WB knows the movie is quality but doesn't know how to market it at all. This is desperate marketing, not an attempt to bury it. In their mind this flick should be pulling Guardians style cash. It should be a hit on the home market.

Unfortunately its the new name at least on Rotten Tomatoes. Alright as a tagline but the title? Bleh.

Enjoyed it very much. It should have made more money.

Why come "source code" not considered mystery?

Why compare Src Code. Very different indeed!

Similar idea. Played complete different.

Plus, frankly, as much as I like Duncan Jones, Source Code actually put me to sleep in theaters. I liked all the little plot twists in that one but it was even more repetitive and far less interesting than Edge.

One thing which I think EoT omitted was how living the same day again and again and again would have affected Cruise's character, in terms of mental health.

PS: Folks who enjoyed this might also enjoy the movie 12:01

This movie rocked! I can't believe how much I enjoyed it. This little subtle hints of humor were just great! Several have been mentioned here. It does suck that this underperformed because they didn't know how to market it.

Probably pick this up when the price drops...

I enjoyed the hell out of this but had one problem early on.
Spoiler:
Given that Tom Cruise was doing so much PR for the UDF, even appearing on different news broadcasts, how did no one recognize him for who he truly was?

Spoiler:
cruise was labeled as a deserter and master sergeant paxton had direct orders not to listen to anything he said. so even if he'd done all that good before, it didn't mean a thing after that. the rest of the squad just fell in line with what paxton did.

Got this on BD from the BF from Amazon. I already loved it before but noticed this...

Spoiler:
once they get that thing that they stab into Cage's leg and shit is going wrong... why didn't Cage just kill himself and repeat it again till they could get away scott free?

Watched this last night and loved the hell out of it.
I did grimace when Bill Paxton showed up (IMO one of the worst and most annoying actors there is), but he actually wasn't bad here.
And God damn if Emily Blunt isn't one of the sexiest dames on the planet.

When you say "shit is going wrong" can you be more specific? I just watched it too, but I can't pinpoint from memory what you're talking about. Presumably it's sometime before...

I think the implication was...
Spoiler:
...it took tons of tries to get Brigham to give them the device and the time that it worked they weren't really sure what they did to make it happen, so they were going to do as much as they possibly could to get out of there with it. Plus Cage would want to see how it would play out from there for the next time to know how better to fully escape in future tries if they got to that point again, so they had to make hard decisions about Cage not being killed too soon. This was a much different scenario than the battlefield with more human adversarial elements involved that made it trickier to know when to give up and reset.

Personally, I didn't have a problem with how that played out.
