Obvious to what? You haven't proven shit and the fact that it's already been CONFIRMED that they're making TWO more sequels buries your remedial marketing points. Get a life.

 Developing means nothing. Scripts get written all the time and NEVER made. This still won't happen. Keep dreaming or breath holding not sure which.

I still believe we'll get another one but I don't see it coming super soon. It's done "well" but not enough to to ethusiastically throw money at it quickly.

Yeah, cuz I said they were already in pre-production. Hey, guess what, the next two are being filmed BACK-TO-BACK!

Get over yourself.

Vin Diesel: You want me to sign up for another four Fast & Furious films? You have to release two Riddick films as well.

Universal: Give us Paul Walker's soul and we'll do it.

Vin Diesel: Done.

Fixed. Too soon?

Awesome, so you didn't know what the fuck you were talking about earlier when I and a few other members kept saying that there were one-two more being developed - we must have been talking out of our asses, huh.

You obviously care, because you're still posting.

You know what, i can look at what i said and laugh at the fact that within a few hours of my posts a report comes out saying something to the contrary.

As for "not knowing what the fuck i was talking about", well first of all i knew full well that there had been "talk" about doing two more movies. One set in Underverse and one set on Furia. After seeing Riddick i felt the movie was poorly done and a lazy movie. Fine the movie made double its cost (as has already been mentioned minus advertising), but in Hollywood thats not setting the Box office on fire. Hollywood likes movies that make many times its original budget, not just scraping by. So yes, you were talking out of your asses to some extent because up until yesterday the future of the Riddick franchise was still uncertain....unless of course you are the head of Universal or Vin Diesel.

I really don't care, but i do take it personally when someone like yourself gets on your high horse and tries berating people instead of having a discussion. There are forum rules and you are walking the fine line here. It would be very easy for me to post a well written break down of exactly what i think of you, but i know the rules of the board and will abide to them.

So i will just say that it looks like you will get your dream come true when another Riddick movie comes out. And when it comes out i will give it a miss at the cineplex and maybe catch it on rental. But feel at this stage that this is a series that missed the boat and will only continue in its failure to entertain.

I'm still waiting for one of them to start sucking off the other. I'm bored. Either way... I'd be excited to see a sequel. I enjoy the world they've set up.

Re: Riddick (Twohy, 2013) — The Reviews Thread

Getting back on topic and away from the rabble, i just feel like all the last movie did for the character of Riddick was remove him from position of Lord Marshal. It didn't do anything to build on his actual character or get him any closer to finding Furia. It felt like filler between actual movies. The fact that it was basically a remake of Pitch Black also didn't help.

That's pretty much what it was. A story that didn't need to be told but I enjoyed it. It was a good genre flick.

Re: Riddick (Twohy, 2013) — The Reviews Thread

I loved Pitch Black, but didn't care for Chronicles. This one was okay. I think what is great about PB is that it is about a group of normal--for the most part--people who end up depending on Riddick to be their savior. They were easier to identify with and sympathize with than the strutting, dick-swinging mercenaries in Chronicles and in this latest movie. And Pitch Black was something of an identity crisis for Riddick. Is he a wolf or a shephard? That internal conflict made for an interesting layer on top of a stylish monster movie. There was no real depth to the character here, and no reason to care about anyone else making it out alive.
