I've previously posted why I like these movies a lot.

I imagine a lot of the preproduction going something like, "this part is going to be like that one part in (Hunger Games, Transformers, et al.), but with our stuff".

I liked RE1. Hated Apocalypse. Thought Extinction was mediocre. I only own the latter 2 cuz it was just cheaper to buy the three set than just the BD at that time. Never saw any of the others. This one though...? Seems like I could possibly enjoy it for some reason.

All of these movies are a blur to me. I can't remember anything specific after the one in the desert (Extinction?). I'll wait until the Blu Ray hits and watch them all back to back.

I've never gone to the theater for any of them but I have seen them all. I always found them to be decent fluff good enough for a weekend afternoon.

The Resident Evil movies have always been a guilty pleasure.

Hard to believe this series spans 6 movies and 15 years.

I think I've seen a couple of them in the theater. But, the last 2 I saw on BD.

If I had to choose, the last movie of the series Retribution was probably my least favorite.

The only ones I saw in theaters were the first one, Apocalypse, and Afterlife. Never did see Extinction or Retribution at the show.

Though Retribution was underdeveloped, it had some great moments and the score was epic. So little happened I thought we had another half hour to go once they got to DC. It's frustrating when you go to see a movie where they had something good going, but couldn't really deliver.

Why So Blu?

I may give the franchise a spin on BD soon - I have them all on BD. The earlier films also have those reference LPCM tracks, too.

This looks bad. But I've seen all the others theatrically even though they keep getting worse so I suppose I'm stuck. This is a series that desperately needs a reboot.
