A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. We've never seen it before, and we liked it. I've heard that younger generations don't like old comedies because they're too slow paced. This movie is fast and frantic.
We watched at a friends' house. It is one of their favorite movies. It's our turn next. This is fun!

Texas Killing Fields - This has a solid cast including Sam Worthington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jessica Chastain, and Chloe Grace Moretz. It's got a good premise--based on a real place near the Gulf coast where multiple bodies have been dumped--but the narrative jumps around a bit and gets a little confusing at times and blurs the main plotline. And it maybe pushes too much drama onto the personalities of the main police detectives played by Worthington and Morgan. It's not bad, really, but kind of unsatisfying.

Swordfish (2001) — One of my all-time favorite guilty pleasures has it all with a convoluted plot, insane Bay-like explosions, that orange-tinge the early aughts were known for (also see Gone in 60 Seconds) and John Travolta sporting a soul-patch. Saw this one in theaters back in 2001 and like to put it on very couple of years when I feel like relaxing. ****/***** (Blu-ray)
Trust (2010) — Chilling movie that was pretty uncomfortable to watch but features great performances from Clive Owen and the young Liana Liberato. This was a passion project from David Schwimmer who directed and wrote (uncredited). Swore I had seen this one before but didn't remember much of it until the very end. ****¼/***** (Blu-ray)

I own this
It was kind of groundbreaking for 1990 when the kid talked about having a gay experience and sadly kids today have suicidal thoughts and being out of place in high school is still a problem that exists today and probably for all eternity.
It did feel kind of like a 80's movie though it came out in Aug 1990.
I wish Lana Sloatman the tall blonde with glasses was his girlfriend and showed her assets and not Samantha Mathis.
Slater said he would like to see a remake of this movie

It was ok but really long and I wanted to love it but would not buy it on Blu-ray.

Amazon Prime
They said it was $0 but a chance I could get charged a $6.99 promotional credit?
Dianna Agron was great in this and wish she was in more movies and playing the lead too and nice to see Hoffman in a movie and wish he would do more stuff or he is nearing retirement or picky about the roles he chooses.
They could have easily taken out the profanity and made it PG or PG-13 since it is a family film and some people or groups of people make a big fuss out of that.

It doesn't look like that is a "free with Prime" movie, and in my experience if you have a digital promotional credit, Amazon will show the cost of the video by subtracting any credits you have. So if something costs $4 to rent or buy and you have at least that much credit, then it may show the cost for you as $0 and then it will subtract the $4 from your credit if you make the purchase/rental.

Don't Answer the Phone! (1980) — Flawed but entertaining (in a funny way when it comes to the killer) slasher from 1980. Nothing amazing but kept my attention until the end. No surprise this was the only film from the director. ***/***** (Blu-ray)

World War Z - rewatched this last night. Still like this as a fun action/thriller, though it bears practically no resemblance to the namesake book.

The Northman (2022) — Visually arresting with great sound design and respectable production design has its moments (many downright bizarre), the film also features good performances from Alexander Skarsgard and Anya Taylor-Joy, however I wasn't fully immersed with the story but that has more to do with having little interest in Viking-centric stories. That said, it's worth one watch at least. ***/*****

I thought I would be blown away with the Northman but it was just ok though it had a good cast.
It was not bad but maybe would watch it again in a few years

Gene Kelly was in this? WTF

Michael Beck looked like one of the Bee Gees but his acting was horrible. I guess this and the Warriors might be the only movies he ever did.
I knew it was bad but some of the songs are not bad at all and Olivia Newton John was at her peak hotness and maybe one of the hottest actresses in the history of cinema.
