The Beguiled (2017) — What a dull ass movie. Respectable cast but shit screenplay, no likeable characters and just an all around stupid plot. 1.5/5

Dark Woods - 2/5
A couple move to a secluded cabin in order to deal with the wife's deteriorating condition from cancer. One day the husband rescues a young girl from a sexual predator with nowhere to go and takes her in. As his wife's condition worsens, he starts to develop a connection with her. Starts out promising, then goes downhill with some mediocre acting and plot twists.

Gun Shy (2017) — Wow, really bad, only reason I'm not giving it a zero is because I did manage to chuckle twice and this is just a bizarre experience. 1.0/5

Cool Hand Luke - 3.5/5
The story of a rebellious soul who refuses to play by the rules and will do anything to stick it to the man. Not the masterpiece many claim it to be.

I watched Jesse Stone: No Remorse this morning. I liked it, but I didn't think it was as good as the earlier films. This was a lot more gloomy and depressing. 3.25/5

Crashing - 1.5/5
A writer becomes inspired when he is kicked out of his home by his wife and is invited to stay at the home of two young female student admirers. Waste of time.

Thor for the second time
Actually found this pretty humorous, better than I anticipated but the bar was pretty low based on the reviews. My biggest complaint is that even though it was rated R, most couples don't swear that much in front of each other and the neighbors. I understand that language after they made the transformation, then it would be more logical.

With yesterday being veterans day and the discussion over WWII movies I decided to pop in the only war movie I own that's less than 2h. I do like it though. Not many films deal with life in the air during WWII.
Had seen this in the theater and knew it had enough charm I could put it on for the wife. Hopefully they won't keep milking this cow but it is a decent rental.

Misery (1990) — Excellent dark comedy/thriller propelled by two amazing performances from Caan and Bates. Probably ranks second amongst Stephen King novel adaptations behind The Shining. 4.25/5

Yesterday I watched the movie "Into the Wild" 2007. I was very impressed. The film is amazing. There is a lot of philosophical reasoning. Beautiful pictures of nature. This film makes you think about the meaning of your life

Even though he is not the greatest of filmmakers, I'm a fan of Jesus Franco, but this was really awful. Dull, dated and incompetent as hell in every aspect. How do you make a 78 minute film that feels like it is twice as long?

Darkness Rising (2017) — Terrible in just about every respect, at least Tara Holt and Katrina Law were easy on the eyes, so to speak. 0.5/5
