The One and Only Bruce Willis Thread

Trailer:

Synopsis:

After witnessing the brutal murders of a convenient store owner and his son; firefighter, Jeremy Coleman (Josh Duhamel) nearly escapes with his life. As he is forced to testify against the crime lord, Hagan (Vincent D'Onofrio), he is placed in the witness protection program under the watch of the U.S. Marshalls. As his new identity becomes compromised Jeremy is forced to take an unexpected course of action in order to get is life back and save the lives of those he loves.

Starring:
Josh Duhamel
Bruce Willis
Rosario Dawson
Vincent D'Onofrio
James Lesure
Richard Schiff
Vinnie Jones
Julian McMahon
Quinton "Rampage" Jackson

Saw this last night and it was surprisingly pretty good. Lots of action, some really brutal kills. Pretty decent cast too. Duhamel is the star of this movie and I actually liked him here. He was believable and showed alot of vulnerability. He also had good chemistry with Rosario Dawson. Bruce Willis was more in a supporting role here. He played a detective with the Long Beach Police department. He showed some snarkiness. D'Onofrio was good as the main villain. It was a pretty fast paced 97 minute action movie.

Most importantly, this was a reunion of Danny McCoy and Mike Cannon from Las Vegas.

a friend of mine was an extra in this. Said Duhamel was a really nice guy

Not sure if I'll see the film but...if I hear more good word on it...I'll give it a try.

wait what? Totally missed that part where it was on BD/DVD at the end of that trailer. Weird. Why didn't it come out in theaters?

The synopsis says he "nearly escapes with his life"...so is he a ghost in this?

Bump

FYI, This was posted today on Netflix for anyone who is interested.

Don't be turned off by the fact that it's a straight to video movie. It's actually a pretty good action thriller with decent production value. Bruce Willis has more of a supporting role in this.

I reviewed this when it first came out. It's not amazing, but it's better than a direct to video movie should be. The thing I liked most about it is that Duhamel's character isn't some trained killer. Every time he goes after someone, he almost fucks it up, and he's not desensitized to the violence. A nice character choice.

Pretty good action/revenge flick. Not surprised that it didn't get a theatrical release though.

Duhamel was a capable lead, Willis didn't have much to do except stand around and look concerned. On the other hand, D'Onofrio totally chewed up the scenery as the evil villain. I'm not sure what accent he was going for, maybe Cajun, but he was the most memorable part of the movie.

Glad to hear some positive buzz on this one. I got sent a review copy on BD last week, and I was wondering what I'd be in store for.

Watched it this morning. Totally recommend it. It's cool the type of suspense that comes with the hero fumbling his way through his objectives. Dumahel was a good lead and fun to to watch struggle through his challenges. D'onofrio was a trashy villain, and interesting to watch.

Enjoyed watching this.

This movie was horribly directed and edited. I can't believe the leeway it's getting here on DVDTalk. There's a reason it went DTV. This movie just isn't very good.

Marauders (2016) -- S: Christopher Meloni, Bruce Willis

When an untraceable group of elite bank robbers execute the perfect heist making off with millions in cash and leaving a dead bank manager in their wake, the FBI Agents investigating the robbery/homicide (Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista and Adrian Grenier) begin to uncover signs of corruption involving the bank’s owner (Bruce Willis) and his high power clients. As they dig deeper into the case, the Feds realize that things are not what they seem, and in order to untangle a complicated web of deception and corruption they must push themselves to the brink – where the lines between right and wrong are often times blurred.

Anyone heard of this movie?

Just watched it today and actually really quite enjoyed it. Christopher Meloni is the lead and I thought he was awesome in this. Great intensity and loved his scenes with Willis. Plot is a little convoluted, but the action and Meloni made up for it.

I liked this better than a similar themed movie Triple 9, which came out last year.

A new Bruce Willis action movie used to be something of an event. Now, it's like, "What the fuck is that movie? When the fuck did that come out? Why the fuck is Bruce in this?"

I'll check it out if I can, though.

Looks like another straight to video Bruce Willis glorified cameo masterpiece.

The director is a local guy, my buddy knew him back in the day so everybody here is mildly supportive of his endeavors.

This was his least terrible movie so far.

It wasn't straight to video, it was released in theaters (limited screens).

Reading the summary, it sounds just like Inside Man.

My bad, select theaters (where it made a whopping 57K) and VOD.

Miller is a local cat out here now. Nice guy. I do think his remake of Silent Night is excellent and The Aggression Scale is not bad.

I saw this a month or so back. Not terrible mainly because Christopher Meloni delivered but otherwise, not great. And it is basically a cameo by Willis, wouldn't surprise me if he spent only one day filming.

This didn't look half bad, then I saw VOD in post. Too bad, looks kinda fun. Keanu mixed with Red. Hope it gets some decent reviews and I'll probably rent...
