I remember not so many years ago, it was considered ridiculous that an Austrian bodybuilder who was barely intelligible was going to attempt a career in movies. So what's wrong with Triple Haitch?

Honk!

It's not that I don't think he physically fits the role..

It's just that I don't like him..

HHH was awesome during his 2000-01 run. He was never the same after his injury.

If Milius is directing then I'm watching, now they just need to get Basil to do the Score again, and it will be great.

As far as I'm concerned, they just need someone who looks the part.

The originals aren't classics because of Arnold's acting chops...

Unfortunately whether the "'Aitch" is on TV or not, you will feel his wrath each and every week on Raw because he's on the verge of tying the knot with the boss's daughter.

Having said that, he is not a bad choice for the role although I'm guessing his box office drawing power sits somewhere comfortably between zero and one.

I think it is bad news to cast a "wrastler". I just feel that they would inevitably make the movie cornier, to appeal to fans of wrestling. (Yes, wrestling is incredibly corny and tacky, imho).

The GAIMAH is also rumored to be the next Thor. I actually think he would pull off a good acting job as long as its in the bad guy variety. He pull off a decent villian.

Maybe someone should start a "Which wrestler will make a movie next" thread.

Maybe Jeff Hardy for xXx-III (Hey it could happen)
but my choice Lita & Trish in Barb Wire 2: HLA

What if the script calls for Conan to lose a fight to someone for plot purposes? Will HHH be able to handle that or will he find a way to change the story?

Robert Rodriguez confirmed for King Conan

Robert Rodriguez confirmed for King Conan
Posted on Sat, 30-Apr-2005

Mr Film Fantastic, Robert Rodriguez, looks set to helm the next "Conan" sequel.

The Arnold Fans has discovered that John Milius, who has been trying to get a third "Conan" film off the ground for longer than gas has fuelled cars, has been given his walking papers - and that Rodriguez, currently spinning a lot of bank with "Sin City", is the Barbarian's new pop.

"John Milius had a 5 year contract to be on the WB lot, however, after WB gave Conan away to Rodriguez, they decided they did not need Milius and kicked him off the lot without renewing his contract", says the site.

Milius had been working on "King Conan" - which tells the story of the Barbarian and his son - for quite a while. It's believed he recently talked to wrestler Triple-H about filling Arnold Schwarzenneger's shoes, upon discovering Arnold's too busy playing Governor.

It's not known whether Rodriguez plans on using Milius' idea for "King Conan" or whether he's going to start afresh, and whether he's going to try and coax Arnold Schwarzenegger back to the role of Conan or take on Milius' idea of bringing in Triple-H.

We shall see.

Thanks to 'AB King'

************************************************

I'm a huge fan of the first film, mostly due to John Milius (directing/writing), Basil Poledouris' amazing music score and of course AHnold and James Earl Jones. I was hoping that they would recapture that same magic, but now that Milius is outta there, and maybe even Poledouris.... hmm..... well, I'll have to wait and see. It would be interesting to see R.R. shoot sword fighting, but I hope he doesn't get cheap on the visual effects (because he likes to shoot fast and quick and do everything himself, etc.), I don't want to see CONAN in CGI Spy Kids land.

EDIT: fixed spelling mistake
