Marvel doesn't do DC. I'm pretty sure they will never do so looking at the major Disney brand's handling of their BD releases.

I actually liked Thor 2 more than Thor 1.

As did I. It did have a weaker narrative but it was more enjoyable to be.
Jesus, were most of the Midgard scenes boring in the first one.

The only thing I really hate is Darcy. She is just annoying. I like the fish-out-of-water stuff with Thor though. The pet store scene is one of my favorite scenes in the MCU.

Thor 2 >>> Thor
Thor 2 > Iron Man 3

Iron Man 2 = A rough smack to the nuts with a Ball-Peen Hammer

I don't want to get too far off topic as my Iron Man mention was more of a rebuttal against the mention of Thor 2 and a jab at Supermallet's comment in the Predator thread, but as much as I disliked the Mandarin change i'd say it was the writing that bothered me with poorly thought out plot points regarding Killian's motivations and end goal, and the absolutely terrible ending that breezes past Stark's need for the mini arc reactor and the cure for Extremis. I've said before, but I loved the movie leaving the theater but it got worse on repeat viewings and deserves its middle of the pack critic rating in the MCU.
But like I said, it's still entertaining and I don't find any of the Marvel movies bad by any means.

Head Scratching Moments:
1. Being faced with a dire situation, why was he fooling around with defective armor when he had plenty of other functional suits waiting in the wings?
2. Why didn't he and War-Machine just stay at a safe distance in the air and pick them off with thier auto-targeting system?
3. How was the mortal Extremis goons able to destroy his armor with such reckless abandon given the fact that the Armor was able to withstand an Alien invasion in the Avengers?
4. Why did they mention Chattanooga in the movie, when you can cleary tell it was North Carolina?
I am sure others could add more to the list.

I personally also like Iron Man 3 more than the first one. Something about it I just really dug. IM2 is my favorite Marvel movie so what do I know.

Keeping this off-topic, but the more I thought about IM3 since seeing it, the more I hated it.

I never knew Thor 2 and Iron Man 3 were so polarizing ...
I've never understood the hate for IM3. I'd rank it third of the three, but I still enjoyed it. The narrative style was definitely different from the first two.
As I said, maybe I need to try Thor 2 again. I didn't make it to the theater to see it. Instead I rented it from Redbox and it took me three or four days to watch. Perhaps being overworked and exhausted during that time took me out of it. Looking back, I honestly can't remember much about it other than it reminded me of The Animatrix.

Rank time!
Avengers>Iron Man>Captain America: The Winter Soldier>Iron Man 3>The Incredible Hulk>Iron Man 2>Thor>Captain America>Thor: The Dark World
I still find it incredibility hard to watch the first Captain America. To me it's just pretty boring. Not a bad movie, just boring. I also need to give Thor 2 a second chance. I've only seen it once so far. And I'm in the same boat with Iron Man 3. I thought it was just OK the first time and have liked it more and more each time I watch it.
I also agree that so far, every Marvel movie is much better than the average action / comic book / super hero movie. Hopefully that trend doesn't break when it comes to Ant-Man.

Iron Man 3 was definitely the stinker.

Exactly. Every movie can have nits like those picked, even highly regarded stuff like Citizen Kane and Godfather. The things that mater, the character and story stuff, is all there, and a marked improvement over the previous 2 Iron Mans, which is what matters. The people getting bent out of shape that Mandarin was fake or whatever, are just comic book nerds that don't understand good storytelling.

I may not like the Mandarin change as a fan but it worked. Kingsley was awesome. Love his character and the continuation of it in the Marvel one shot. I'd love to see that narrative continued. Fucking huge ass tease for the ending.

It's funny that people bring up the Mandarin, since no one was really complaining about it in this particular thread. I already mentioned a few of the non-Mandarin complaints I had about the movie, particularly at how terrible the wrap up of an Extremis cure for Pepper and Stark's shrapnel were (something that important to the character shouldn't have been so easily glossed over), but thinking about it more I'd add my dislike for Killian's motivations tracing back to being left on a roop top and the odd inclusion of the vice president subplot out of nowhere.
I enjoy the movie still largely based on the strengths of Tony dealing with the aftermath of the Avengers, and the best action sequences of the series with the attack on Tony's house, the Air Force One scene, and all the armors at the end. But the rest of the character and story stuff to me was on par with Iron Man 2, and a weakness.

2. The Avengers / The Winter Soldier (Tied!)
3. Iron Man 2
4. Thor
5. The Incredible Hulk
6. The First Avenger
7. The Dark World
8. Iron Man 3-The over the top exploding armor climax is something I expect from a Michael Bay flick.
9. Reserved For Ant-Man!;-)
Hoping the upcoming Guardians movie will be worthy of a top ranking.

These are nitpicky nerd criticisms. Not true, valid criticism. There is plenty wrong with Alien vs. Predator without complaining that one of the Preds didn't use his shoulder cannon when he should have, and if Iron Man 3 is such a "stinker" you should be able to point out problems with the acting, direction, cinematography, writing etc.
It's also bad writing when you set up in 3 other films that this armor is pretty impressive stuff that can take lots of punishment, but when it is convenient you decide that is can be easily destroyed to the allow you to have a big action scene at the end. Otherwise it wouldn't even have been a close fight.
I hated the Mandarin fake out but it did not lesson the story for me like points 1 and 3 did. Those huge lapses in story really hurt the film in my view. Still a good movie, but not great like many other of the Marvel films have been.
Looking forward to Ant-Man but not on the level of other Marvel films. Hopefully they get all the behind the scenes drama figured out and give us a solid movie.

The remote-controlled armor being less stable than than a suit with a pilot in it doesn't rally bother me. If you hit an empty old-timey suit of armor that a knight would wear with a baseball bat, it's going to fall apart. Put it on a person and it will hold together better.

Michael Douglas (Hank Pym) has also said he will be at Comic-Con for ANT-MAN, so it is likely we’ll see Paul Rudd, who stars in the film as Scott Lang, and possibly new director Peyton Reed. Production on ANT-MAN does not start until next month in Atlanta, so the likelihood of any footage being shown is slim to none. Marvel may have already filmed something specifically for the panel, but I wouldn’t count on that

I really wish they'd just go back to Wright and tell him he could do what he wants. I want to be excited for this.
