I'm holding him responsible for PA4.

Is Kevin Greutert still on contract with Lionsgate? Paramount needs to get him on board (again) to helm PA5. His input and creativity helped Saw VI to be the best sequel of that franchise, it's just too bad he was pulled from PA2 and slapped onto Saw 3D at the last minute where he had no ability to mold it into a better film.

I wonder if they'll tie in the Mexican maid from PA2 in the spin-off film.

So how did "Hunter" come to be adopted and who was "Robbie"? Enquiring minds wanna know.

He's directing this for Lionsgate:

I've found all of the previous PA's to have some creepiness. This had none. Also have the same questions about Hunter and how the fuck a possessed nicely titted woman could manage to let her nephew be taken in by Social Services? Wouldn't she just rip the throat out of any Social worker who dared to approach Hunter? Maybe she found she couldn't handle a crying toddler and didn't have the patience to potty train him and just abandoned him until he was potty trained.

The parents didn't answer Alex's questions about the adoption. Maybe it was done off the books? Who knows, the way this franchise connects the dots, we'll never get the answers.

Hey, do we have to still put shit in spoilers now that the movie opened?

Re: Paranormal Activity 4 (Director TBD, October 2012)

I thought it was silly that the family let a boy that lived across the street stay with them when they hardly knew the boy or the mother. On the way home from the soccer game he commented by saying "there is that boy again" rather than calling him by name. I thought it was something difficult to overlook. Also, how is a lady that is supposedly missing able to live in a nice house and go undetected by anyone around her?

Well, the mother did adopt a child, so maybe she is a caring person? That boy again is easy to overlook because they never talk to him before. And that's easy. Nice neighborhoods may not pay much attention to their surroundings and if you saw the house, it still had stuff covering the belongings. They probably just bought the house recently and the girl was missing in San Diego, Cali and moved to Nevada. I'm sure there are dozens of people missing in Nevada and I live in Southern California and couldn't tell you anyone who is missing.

Not a woman that is obviously on video carting off a now missing child after having been involved in a murder or two. I don't think that this kind of person could just easily disappear into the suburbs.

To be fair, she is possessed by a demon.

Of you like these flicks, AMC is doing a marathon of all four of them on Halloween. No confirmation on if it's a package or if each is available separately yet. It'd seem weird to expect people to pay for 4 again so soon.

They're running them in chronological order. 3, then 2, then 1, then 4. You don't have to go to all of them. The first three are $5 each and 4 is the usual price.

Weird considering 2 is both a prequel, equal and sequel.

Where would you put it to be less weird?

The best thing about 2 is how it ties into 1. That chronological order ruins the twist. Also, you find out about the witches/demons in 1 but that revelation is ruined if you watch 3 first. lol

I have to admit.....I really dug the "Chat" session you can open on the movies main website (allow pop-ups first) - I don't know if I just completely ruined the movie for myself
Spoiler:
Who was the crazy possessed chick that ran after her? Was that Katie?

Re: Paranormal Activity 4 (Director TBD, October 2012)

I really liked the lead girl and her boyfriend. They seemed like good, normal kids and were easy to root for.

Sure wish there was more going on in the movie though. It didn't have any real good scares, and I really don't like the witches/coven turn the story took. Would've been better off focusing on the demon. The ending was very anticlimactic.

Thats the finale. The final shot is in the commercial they're showing now.

Do you need to have seen the past three or does this work well as a standalone?

You'd get more out of it if you watch the first three.

You'd be happier if you just saw the first three and forgot this one existed.
