Carrey has not aged well. Every time I've seen him in the last few years his face looks like beef jerky!

I guess all those years of stretching his face like silly putty have taken its toll!

Does anyone else remember Carrey's staunch "no sequel" clause in his contracts back in the 90s? After the nightmare production of Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls he absolutely refused to do any sequels to any of his films... part of the reason a proper sequel to The Mask never got off the ground.

It's crazy how someone's career could fall off a cliff like his did. I seem to rememeber him being a huge box office draw but he really hasn't had a huge amount of success since Liar, Liar - with the exception of Bruce Almighty. How is it that he commanded such a high salary for all of the medicore movies hes done over the past decade?

You didn't like Man on the Moon? I thought he played Kaufman extremely well in that flick. It was a bomb, but the movie was enjoyable. Entertainment Weekly rated it as "the best movie of the year" and he won a Golden Globe. I also thought he made The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (others called him the only highlight of the film) & Lemony Snicket's was decent. I actually enjoy Carrey as more of a drama actor. And the reason he can command the money was because his movies did well in the box office. He's had movies do extremely well in the box office this century (2000's).

I admit, I'm still a fan of Jim. Some of his work has sucked, like Kick-Ass 2, but I really enjoyed this film and think the sequel will do well. Yeah, they really didn't age well, but I think that brings the sense of realism to it.
