While on the subject of big name directors, who do you guys think the wealthiest directors on planet earth are? James Cameron has to be #1, no? Steven Spielberg must be up there too but I have to wonder if he has made more money producing than directing. Who are the richest directors guys?

Lucas #1, and Spielberg has to be #2. Cameron doesn't have a lot of big hits, even if two of them were absolutely huge. Spielberg just has a lot more hit films under his belt, almost certainly has made more in merchandising and producing, and is part of Dreamworks.

Although Lucas is behind the Star Wars & Indiana Jones franchises, he has only directed 6 films.

Yes... they released it on DVD last year, I think it was. Not long after I emailed them to ask if they'd ever be releasing it! Which must've been pure coincidence. But very few people, even Kurosawa fans, seem to think much of it.
