re: Django Unchained - Quentin Tarantino spaghetti western
I would really appreciate it if someone could send me the goods as well. I really only want to read the set-up, but it will be hard to resist! Thanks in advance. Only other QT script I've read directly has been Pulp Fiction.
EDIT: Thanks Bamboo! Will do! |

re: Django Unchained - Quentin Tarantino spaghetti western
Is it safe to say that out of all the films we go nuts for and try to find the script for...this thing probably won that award already.
I'm still wondering, who the hell will be the editor for this thing? Can there be someone who can withstand the crazy nerdgasm that QT is? The only one I can think of is Rodriguez...but I don't think he'll be the one to do that. I wonder.... |

Read it. Thoughts are in my blog. Link to blog in sig.

^Nice blog Seth.
I felt like I breezed through it last night. Perhaps the Morricone tracks I played in the background didn't help matters, but I realized at about page 15 that I was going to read the whole damn thing! It will be interesting to see what stays and what goes when it comes time to shoot, but I enjoyed it immensely. So after this movie..... will QT feel obliged to complete his Germanic Trilogy? Let's see all we need is a revenge story centered around a historical period or event with another eccentric Waltz performance! ;) |
re: Django Unchained - Quentin Tarantino spaghetti western
I'd totally be game if he made a Christoph Waltz trilogy.
|
re: Django Unchained - Quentin Tarantino spaghetti western
I'll take a link also
Thanks in advance |

I've never read any of QT's scripts before and some of his little notes are... really stupid  |

I think you all need to see DRUM (1976), the deliriously downscale sequel to MANDINGO. It starred Warren Oates, Pam Grier, Rainbeaux Smith, Isela Vega, Yaphet Kotto, etc. If you love "history" and "exploitation" equally, it's a dream come true. I wonder what role it played in inspiring this QT project.
