Captain America looks awesome, and I think it will be awesome looking forward to seeing him throw his shield.
Thor...well looks the same...blah..hope it turns out to be fun.
Transformers 3 looks like a mess so much mechanical robot shit on screen but it will be awesome I bet.
Super 8 looked mysterious and very very interesting.

not every film has to be artistic terrence malick fare with deep thought voice overs and method acting. Some movies can exist to entertain. Others can entertain and tell a good story, so you can have both in the summer. Like fellow summer blockbusters jurassic park, true lies, terminator 2, inception, the dark knight, the bourne ultimatum, spider-man, predator, raiders of the lost ark, jaws, etc.
You can have tree of life and i'll take super 8.

I have to say, this was one of the best SuperBowls I remember in terms of movie trailers. Pretty much everything I was interested in got a spot (Thor, Cowboys and Aliens) and we finally got to see something from one that had yet to show us anything (Captain America; I refuse to call it The First Avenger).

huh, anyway, did anyone look at the Adam Sandler trailer that played just before the game started?
I've seen it a dozen times already but this time I'm pretty sure the Brooklyn
Decker coming out of the water bikini scene was enhanced to be much more revealing of what is under her bikini.

Re: The Superbowl Movie Trailers thread - 2011 Edition
Transformers 2 is the worst film I've ever seen and walked out of it and got my money back. I'm not falling for that again but the F/X work is top notch. Thor isn't doing anything for me cause he seems like a boring character (never read the comics). Captain America looks good. I'm hoping for a Rockateer type fun and pray it isn't a long commercial for the Avengers, like Iron Man 2 was. I hate to say it but Fast Five looks like an amazing, mindless action fun. The key ingredient missing from a lot of these trailers. Super 8 looks like it was run through Spielberg emulation software. It looks good and a surprising lack of lens flare.

Super 8 for about 3 seconds starts as a typical Spielberg looking film including the music, then right away goes into destuction blow it all up mode.

I have no idea what Super 8 is about, based solely on the trailer.
I found myself oddly intrigued by Cowboys & Aliens. I predict it will either be a colossal mess or surprisingly awesome.

Looks like this summer is gearing to be better than the last. I'm really looking forward to:
Capt. America
Thor
Transformers
Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Pt 2

How did you manage to get your money back? Last I checked movie tickets are non-refundable unless there is a technical glitch or something that keeps the movie from being presented properly. Quality of the movie itself typically does not play a factor.

Transformers, Battle: Los Angeles, and Five Fast are the only ones that have me excited.
I'll wait for full length trailers from Super 8 and Captain America before I make a final judgement.
Thor, Cowboys & Aliens, the animated films, and everything else did nothing for me at all.
