Right, could someone tell me the name of the other transformers in that teaser? (Not prime or BB)

Red Skull looks spot on perfect. Congrats to whoever was responsible for that.

Skinny Captain America looks ridiculous as Chris Evans' head isn't in proportion at all. It's like looking at a human lollipop.

Captain probably should've been a minute. It was just hard to register anything at all. A person unfamiliar with it was probably completely lost...

Yeah....it should've. It's a film that probably needed more besides snapshots of this and that.

that's what I thought it was as well. I liked that teaser for sure. I know this probably won't happen but...I'd like Bubblebee to talk again. Bastard was fine at the end of TF1 and then in TF2...he's back to talking through the radio...which I don't think was ever explained...I've only seen TF2 once...and for good reason.

Super 8 looks cool, looks like old school Spielberg by way of JJ.

Transformers just looks boring.

Yes, it does look very old Spielberg. Kind of took me back a bit. Has that exact same sense of wonder you used to get from his earlier flicks.

Yeah... 'summer blockbusters'.

Stupid, weak films that appeal to the masses who possess no taste in film.

That's Spielberg alright.

Re: The Superbowl Movie Trailers thread - 2011 Edition

Paramount is really going all out this summer, aren't they? Most studios would be happy with just one action extravaganza for the summer season but they have four(!) with Transformers, Thor, Captain America, and Super 8. And throw in Kung Fu Panda 2 for good measure as well.

Cap was the only trailer that did it for me. Probably because there was less shit blowing up.

The thing w Paramount is most of their big releases are distribution deals... I'm not even sure which ones are their own movies, if any.

Not every film has to be artistic Terrence Malick fare with deep thought voice overs and method acting. Some movies CAN exist to entertain. Others can entertain and tell a good story, so you can have both in the Summer. Like fellow Summer blockbusters Jurassic Park, True Lies, Terminator 2, Inception, The Dark Knight, The Bourne Ultimatum, Spider-man, Predator, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, etc.

You can have Tree of Life and I'll take Super 8.

Thor and Captain American tv spots did nothing for me. Super 8 looks interesting though.
