Re: Mondo/Alamo Drafthouse Screen Printed Movie Posters
Picked this up while we were at the Drafthouse last night to see a film. Always a fan of Daniel Danger.
Sorry, last one! Undamaged
Posters I can remember seeing...
Most of the Texas Roadshow prints
All 3 Cowboys and Aliens posters (inc wood variant)
Werewolves on Wheels
Attack Stance (lol)
Devil's Backbone variant
Girlfriend is chomping at the bit for the Monsters Inc poster.

I haven't checked this thread in a few days, and I just noticed your post. Sorry, but Mondo sent a return label, and I have already mailed the Monsters Inc poster back.

Well it's only for Fantastic Fest badge holders. I don't think there will be any left when they go on sale to the public in 2 days. These FF guys get all the good stuff. In their welcome bags tickets to buy the next Mystery Movie tickets first are inserted randomly. And who knows yet if we will have a shot at Frankenstein. I guess I should have bought the cheap day pass when I had the chance.

Anyone going to the Mondo store for the Moss Werewolf signing? If so, and you could pick up a regular version for me I would be forever greatful (as well as make your wallet a little fatter for your effort).

I don't have all the Moss prints, but I have a good chunk of them. It's gonna hurt to not get ahold of that Werewolf one outside of paying a bunch.

Is Mondo even open right now or are there special Fantastic Fest hours? They usually open at 5:30.

Is it sad that I had to stare at that for like 30 seconds to realize it was Great Britain.
I had the same problem with the Scott Pilgrim poster... realized after it had been on my wall for like 3-4 months that it said "THE WORLD" in the background.

Re: Mondo/Alamo Drafthouse Screen Printed Movie Posters
I got an AWIL Saturday night at the screening. Then my wife and I poster buddied Sunday for 3 people on EB for AWIL. Mondo is getting strict with that. They know most of us and are strictly enforcing the 1 per rule.
And yeah, I think the whole audience took about 15 seconds to see that it was Great Britain (and Ireland) and show reaction to that. It's like those visual illusions where you look at the negative space.

For those that got the AWIL prints, how did they divide between the regular and variants or was it only the regular they were giving out? Just curious.

Re: Mondo/Alamo Drafthouse Screen Printed Movie Posters
LOL. Sorry! Every man for himself under those terms. If I had my gf with me, I could've had an extra.
There were a good 40-50 copies there at 4:30... All regular. $45. It looks like they aren't saving any copies for online sale unfortunately with all the copies out for sale.
Guessing the variant number was 100 or below.
Some other notables in the big red box outside of the new releases put out for FF:
Cronos (Ansin)
A few of the Star Wars Bounty Hunter posters.
Star Trek TMP (Comicon Variant)
Thor
Transformers 3

Re: Mondo/Alamo Drafthouse Screen Printed Movie Posters
Funny note. Notice the scuff in the upper right hand corner? There was a guy in front of me frantically flipping through them all going "OMG They're all damaged! Nooooo" *slaps forehead*
Question... Were the posters at the screening signed? Mine is signed and numbered

Re: Mondo/Alamo Drafthouse Screen Printed Movie Posters
Yeah all the posters were signed. They came in tubes that Mo handed out in the store after the screening in exchange for a previously distributed coupon. No variants were on sale that night or randomly inserted in tubes.
The next day everyone thought the variant and the reg would go on sale at 1 PM same as the signing. They actually went on sale around noon when the store opened. I arrived at 12:30 and got one. They had maybe 10 left at that time.
Wish I had stayed for the signing. Harry Knowles' dad was the first to ask for a sketch and then Olly did several more. The first was a Boba Fett similar to the poster in color and everything. My friend got a Jawa. Kinda cool.
Oh and I betcha they will have at least 30 to put online. And follow Olly's tweets because he has some to sell too.
