Hawkeye would look more bad ass if they used his comic book mask and costume. Makes him look more deadly.

I guess Hawkeye can shoot an arrow right through your pee hole a mile away.

They can make it a nice dark purple with dark blue hues...or stealth black like they did with Thor.

I just think he would look cooler.

Stop the presses!

You mean a movie bringing together 4 super-heroes, who have had 5 movies total (original Hulk doesn't count) that are CGI heavy, is CGI heavy?

CGI is fine. But if they're doing it just because they can, and don't have a have story, then it's just a waste. Just look at the Transformers disasters and Star Wars prequels -- big, noisy movies that were a complete bore.

Is it just me, or in that shot where the camera does a 360 around the heroes, does the Hulk pop up out of nowhere? You see Hawkeye, and Iron Man land to his right. Then as you swing around, the Hulk is suddenly there in between them. Weird.

Her role is obvious that's why I didn't bring it up.

They are using his comic book costume, his Ultimate costume, which I showed. The Marvel cinematic universe is based much more on the Ultimate universe than it is on the main Marvel universe.

It's a hodgepodge. They do whatever they want. Except for moving it to Afganistan, Iron Man's origin is classic 616 stuff.

Hawkeye does need a mask

Yup, CG addition for the lose.

Re: The Avengers - May 2012 - D: Joss Whedon

I borrowed this Bruce Lee analogy about 30 pages ago when others asked about how useful Widow or Hawkeye are when compared to Thor or Hulk. Lee famously spoke about the efficiency of any move depends upon circumstances of the situation. While most everyone would concede that a hand grenade is a far superior weapon to a dinner fork, when fighting someone while the two of you are trapped in a phone booth, the fork is by far more useful.

If Thor had to fight the Hulk it would likely end in a stand-still or coin toss since they solve most of their battles with brute strength. They'd simply go right at each other head-on.

Hawkeye against Hulk is a bit different since Hawkeye doesn't bother fighting the Hulk. Hawkeye just tags him with a tracking device or chemical and waits for him to become Bruce, then takes him out.

Except for the part where the Hulk ate innocent civilians and wanted to rape Betty Ross, thankfully.

I'm not a big comic book fan. I thought Spidey was apart of the Avengers.

Sorta is, as is Wolvie. Neither are considered "classic Avengers" as they are mostly there to sell issues to kids who will immediately recognize them, but have no idea who Hawkeye is.

We also have New Avengers

Secret Avengers

Young Avengers

Their line-ups change constantly, so really they could have picked from about 20 other top choices.
