You do know that orangutans are that color in real life, right? Also those elephants are covered in a reddish dust. I've seen Born To Be Wild, the elephants do no not always look that orange-red.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

I know that, it just goes with the trend. It was a perfect opportunity to do orange and teal without the need to tweak the color scheme.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

But...if the subjects are orange and teal...

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

So I take it by this new trailer that Gwen finds out early on that Peter is Spider-Man? The first trailer with the doorman led us to believe she didn't know, but I assume this happens early on now, otherwise they'd be showing a lot. Then again this new trailer seemed to show quite a bit anyway.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

Super, that doesn't show.

whotony 05-06-12 01:34 PM

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

That trailer indicates she knows who spider-man is.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

The subjects are orange, teal is introduced into it with towels and clothing and paint on buildings.. Wasn't an accident but I guess we are of topic.

Gotta love that dark and gritty Spider-Man. I'm definately passing on this film.

Looks great, looking forward to it. I guess I'm just in a minority that doesn't see the greatness of the first two, and doesn't think the third was that much worse.

I've never understood why no one's been able to create an online video program that rivals Quicktime. Even on 1080p, Youtube videos look substantially shittier than even 720p Quicktime files.

Anyway, this movie could be complete shit and still be better than those Raimi films. And this actually looks decent, so I'm in.

Enjoy your Power Ranger-enemies, hideous monkey-face Mary Jane, non-wisecracking Parker, mechanical web-shooters and "It's SOOO Good" version then.

'Cause those movies were "awesome".

That clip is better than how the new movie looks.

dead serious.

I don't see how anyone could think that looks bad. I think it actually looks like a fresh take on spiderman. seems far more serious than the previous trilogy. spidey actually looks real swinging through the air instead of some cartoon.

Because a wisecracking Spidey making jokes about knives being his weakness is sooooo "dark and gritty."

I'm glad they informed me that it's the most anticipated film of the summer

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

Could this movie have picked a worse summer to come out. Between Avengers, Prometheus and DKR, no one is going to care. Aside from the fact that it's a remake of an effects film that happened in the CGI era. Has that happened before? Trying to trump a modern CGI film with....modern CGI? Who thought this was a good idea. Really. In the trailers it doesn't look remotely as focused and intense as the Raimi Spidey.

Agree. But, I think some of the negativity is coming from being this is another origins story rather than a continuation. I just happened to flip by the trailer last night while AGT was recording and it looked pretty damn impressive. Alot less goofy and cartoonish than Spiderman 3. The supporting cast looks pretty impressive too with Denis Leary, Martin Sheen and Sally Field. I'm really curious to see how much cheaper budget-wise this is compared to the Sam Raimi movies when some definitve figures are released. I know Andrew Garfield is making chump change compared to what Maguire was making. I think he signed up for 3 movies and his salary for the 3 are less than what Maguire made for 1 movie.

The Incredible Hulk?

I didn't think the preview looked too bad, except for his hair.

 I thought it looked fine. I'm just bummed about it being yet another origin story.

[QUOTE=starman9000;11232710]The Incredible Hulk?
[QUOTE]

You got me there. And I'm sure there are others. As an aside not meant to defend my error, Marvel meant the Norton Hulk as a reboot specifically for the current Avengers universe. As far as I know the new Spidey was just a hey lets remake this thing kinda deal.

But the preview clip clearly states right in the beginning that this is the summer's most anticipated film :D

Which is quite hilarious because it's not anticipated at all
